Kids can try variety of sports
Brown's Gymnastics, 4544-C. W. Russell Road, will celebrated National Gymnastics Day by hosting a mini Olympics 10 a.m. Saturday.
Children will participate in different activities with instructors at various stations. Events are gymnastics, soccer, basketball, long jump, trampoline, tennis and relay races.
Each child will receive an Olympic scorecard listing the different sports and each instructor will sign the form as they complete the station.
The event is free and open to the public. Call 257-9009.
Fair to be held at Cahlan School
The third annual North Las Vegas Back to School Fair will begin 10 a.m. Saturday at Marion Cahlan Elementary School, 2801 Forte Sumter Drive.
Free activities include sports and entertainment for children, school supplies, food and beverages, face painting, haircuts and drawings for bicycles. Call 393-6163.
Craft show set at Cashman Center
The Harvest Festival Craft show will be held 11 a.m.-8 p.m. Friday; 10 a.m.-8 p.m., Saturday; and 10 a.m.-5 p.m., Sunday at Cashman Center, 850 Las Vegas Blvd. North.
The general admission price is $6, with a $1 off coupon or one can of donated food to benefit Safe Nest. Call 386-7100.
Preschool registration taking place now
Classroom on Wheels has recently moved to a new location, 2039 E. Lake Mead Blvd.
All parents wishing to register their preschoolers should come by the office between 9 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Thursday and Friday and register by bringing a birth certificate, shot record and proof of income. Children must be 3-5 years of age (3 years old before Sept. 30).
The program, which is a free, bilingual preschool, is targeted to serve incomes which fit HUD guidelines, considered low to moderate incomes. Call 639-9740.

Mountaintop Faith Ministries
will host a city-wide evangelism outreach conference 7 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m. Saturday at 2845 Lindell Road. Guest speakers will be Pastor Bob Evans, Dr. Naida Parson and Evangelist Glorious Powell. Call 367-1636.
The Fashion Show mall,
3200 Las Vegas Blvd. South, is distributing 8,000 free Child ID Care Kits: 10 a.m.-9 p.m., Monday through Friday; 10 a.m.-7 p.m., Saturday; and noon-6 p.m., Sunday. Call 369-0704.
The two-day seminar, "Marriage for a Lifetime,"
will be held 7-10 p.m. Saturday at the Central Christian Church, 1001 New Beginnings Drive, Henderson. The seminar focuses on making good relationships better and improving marriages that need work. Dr. Greg Smalley and Michael Smalley will be teaching and speaking at the sessions. Call 735-4004.
