Rogers is named Education Hero

The Clark County Public Education Foundation will honor media executive Jim Rogers with the Education Hero Award.
A graduate of Las Vegas High School and a longtime Las Vegas attorney, Rogers was selected for his support of higher education and elementary schools and his arts philanthropy.
Rogers last year was named by Time magazine as one of the nation's top philanthropists.
The president of Sunbelt Communications oversees nine television stations, including KVBC Channel 3.
