Victoria Alvarado

Victoria Alvarado, 45, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born April 15, 1956, in Mexico. A resident for one year, she was a room attendant at the Marriott.

She is survived by one son, Martin Dominguez, one daughter, Virginia Alvarado, one sister, Marie, and two brothers, Enrique and Pedro, all of Las Vegas.

Visitation is scheduled 3-7 p.m. Wednesday in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Services will be 1 p.m. Thursday in Bunkers Chapel. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.

Jeffrey D. Bartlett

Jeffrey D. Bartlett, 46, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. He was born April 8, 1955, in Toledo, Ohio. A resident for 12 years, he was a food handler.

He is survived by one daughter, Angel Bartlett of Las Vegas; his mother, Marianna Bell of Palm Coast, Fla.; one brother, John Bartlett of Las Vegas; and one sister, Pat Swatek of Phoenix.

Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd., is handling arrangements.

Roger R. Blais Sr.

Roger R. Blais Sr., 72, of Las Vegas died Thursday in a local hospital. He was born Sept. 8, 1928, in Nashua, N.H. A resident for 16 years, he was a retired motel owner and a member of the Elks.

He is survived by his wife, Eleanor M.; three sons, Roger R. Blais Jr. of Wenham, Mass., Michael Scott Blais of Leicester, Mass., and Steven Mark Blais of Montpelier, Vt.; two daughters, Susan Lyn Blais of Las Vegas and Lisa Jo DeBoisbriand of Hollis, N.H.; one brother, Norman Blais, and one sister, Nancy Blais, both of Nottingham, N.H.; 16 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Burial will be in Nashua. Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd., is handling arrangements.

Thelma L. Bryant

Thelma L. Bryant, 88, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. She was born Feb. 19, 1913, in Berkeley, Calif. A resident for 22 years, she was a retired men's manicurist in a barber shop.

She is survived by three daughters, Carole Ann Bryant, Lynda Leavitt and Jennifer Ellen Bryant, all of Las Vegas; one sister, Jane Howard of Santa Rosa, Calif.; and three grandchildren.

Robert T. Dalsbo

Robert T. Dalsbo, 35, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born July 22, 1966, in Chicago. A resident for 2 1/2 years, he was a carpenter for 20 years, a Navy veteran and a member of Local 1977.

He is survived by his wife, Amber; three daughters, Brittiany of Arizona and Skie and Chelsea, both of Nevada; three sons, Christian, Jonathan and Noah all of Nevada.

Larry E. Dedie

Larry E. Dedie, 54, of Las Vegas died Aug. 9 in Las Vegas. He was born July 30, 1947, in Michigan. A resident for 19 years, he was an Air Force technical sergeant.

He is survived by one daughter, Angeline Olsen, and one son, Trevor de Die, both of Las Vegas; and two grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled at 9 a.m. Wednesday in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Graveside services will follow at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.

Lynn Mary DiFederico

Lynn Mary DiFederico, 77, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. She was born Feb. 18, 1924, in Louisville, Ky. A resident for 42 years, she was a retired convention center supervisor.

She is survived by two daughters, Suzan Bennett and Keely Marks, and one son, Tio DiFederico, all of Las Vegas; and six grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 10 a.m. Wednesday in Our Lady of Las Vegas Catholic Church, 3050 Alta Drive. Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St., is handling arrangements.

Helen Irene Dolence

Helen Irene Dolence, 83, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born Oct. 7, 1917, in Uniontown, Pa. A resident for eight years, she was a sales clerk.

She is survived by two sons, William Dolence of Henderson and John Dolence of Anchorage, Alaska; one brother, Paul Larence of Corapolis, Pa.; and one grandchild.

Verdie Mae Evans

Verdie Mae Evans, 76, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. She was born Jan. 29, 1925, in Crawfordsville, Iowa. A resident 26 years, she was a food and fuel store owner.

She is survived by her husband, William H.; three daughters, Pat Vandenburg of Phoenix, Carol Young of Honolulu and Linda Luft of Huntington Beach, Calif.; four sons, Lee Evans of Westminster, Calif., Mike Evans and Ron Evans, both of Las Vegas, and Roger Evans of Los Osos, Calif.; 17 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Frank J. Francesco

Frank J. Francesco, 81, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born March 28, 1920, in Pennsylvania. A resident for 32 years, he was an actor who appeared in six movies, was a keno writer at the Four Queens and an Army, Navy and Air Force veteran.

He is survived by one son, Frank Francesco of Las Vegas; two sisters, Rae White of New Jersey and Rita Myers of Pennsylvania; and three grandchildren.

A cryptside service will be 8 a.m. Wednesday in Eden Vale Mausoleum. Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.

Grace Elizabeth Gamst

Grace Elizabeth Gamst, 47, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. She was born March 7, 1954, in Las Vegas. A lifelong resident, she was a hospital registered nurse and a granddaughter and great-granddaughter of Rose Warren and Faye Mae Sansom, pioneers in Las Vegas.

She is survived by her husband, John A.; four sons, Travis Taylor of North Las Vegas, Daniel Hess of Las Vegas, Shawn Taylor of Spokane, Wash., and Andrew Taylor of Atlanta; one daughter, Margaret Taylor of North Las Vegas; her mother, Laura Thornton of Las Vegas; five brothers, George Van Den Broek of Denver, Brand Thornton, Peter Thornton and Marc Thornton, all of Las Vegas, and John Wilhelm of Montana; two sisters, Susan Roufus and Melissa Lemus, both of Las Vegas; and three grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. services Wednesday in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Burial will be in Montana.

Maxine Lucille Green

Maxine Lucille Green, 80, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. A resident for 34 years, she was born July 25, 1921, in Lima, Ohio.

She is survived by one son, Charles K. Green, and one daughter, Linda K. Sincavage, both of Las Vegas; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 6-8 p.m. Monday in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be 4 p.m. Tuesday in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Paradise Memorial Gardens, 6200 S. Eastern Ave.

Lloyd C. Gronberg

Lloyd C. Gronberg, 85, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local convalescent hospital. He was born Sept. 7, 1915, in Medicine Hat, Alberta. A resident for 67 years, he retired as a yardmaster for the Union Pacific Railroad after 45 years, was past president and member of the board of directors of the Union Pacific Oldtimers Club.

He is survived by his wife, Phyllis.

Visitation is scheduled 5-8 p.m. Wednesday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday in Palm Chapel, Main. Graveside services will follow at 2:30 p.m. Thursday in Palm Memorial Park.

Anna Florice Guy

Anna Florice Guy, 81, of Henderson died Friday in Henderson. She was born Dec. 11, 1919, in Oklahoma. A resident for 58 years, she was a supervisor.

She is survived by three sons, Raymond Ware of Anaheim, Calif., James Ware of Henderson and Charles Ware of Boulder City; one daughter, Carmen Crosby of Silverdale, Wash.; three brothers, Dan Rowden of Inverness, Fla., and Walter Rowden and Robert Rowden, both of Henderson; 12 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled noon-1:30 p.m. Wednesday in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Entombment will follow at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Memory Gardens Mausoleum, 7251 W. Lone Mountain Road.

Ronald Herrick

Ronald Herrick, 89, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. A resident for five years, he was born April 18, 1912, in California.

He is survived by two sons, Scott Herrick and Steve Herrick, both of California; and three grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Saturday in Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson. Burial will be private.

Janice Nelson Madsen

Janice Nelson Madsen, 63, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospice. She was born June 24, 1938, in Kaukauna, Wis. A resident for 13 years, she was a retired legal secretary for the Department of Energy.

She is survived by her husband, Ivan Leon; one son, Mark Nelson of Alamogordo, N.M.; her mother, Ruby Woelz of Kaukauna; one brother, Don Woelz of Appleton, Wis.; two sisters, Marilyn Jahnke of Kaukauna and Lois Brown of Wrightstown, Wis.; two stepdaughters, JoAnn Straw of Pipestone, Minn., and Melissa Kruzel of Deadwood, S.D.; two stepsons, Gregory Madsen of Killdeer, Ill., and Jeffrey Madsen of Phoenix; and seven grandchildren.

Kathern H. Maness

Kathern H. Maness, 83, of Las Vegas died Aug. 9 in Las Vegas. She was born Dec. 30, 1917, in Pryor, Okla. A resident for 11 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Willie; two daughters, Delta J. Sutton and Virginia Diebold, both of Las Vegas; three brothers, Hulan Holt of Baytown, Texas, and J.B. Holt and Jerald Holt, both of Claremore, Okla.; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

O.M. McGuire

O.M. McGuire, 80, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born April 28, 1921, in Bridgeport, Neb. A resident for 39 years, he was a retired oil engineer and a World War II Marine Corps veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia; one daughter, Kerry Preston of Las Vegas; two sons, Patrick Thomas McGuire of Fort Smith, Ark., and Matthew R. McGuire of Hickam Air Force Base, Hawaii; one sister, Laura Phelps of Etna, Calif.; and six grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd. Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Aug. 29 in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.

Milia J. Morris

Milia J. Morris, 82, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born Jan. 29, 1919, in Wilder, Idaho. A resident for 25 years, she was a government accountant, a homemaker and a member of Air Force Wives.

She is survived by one daughter, Margaret L. Hertz of Anchorage, Alaska; and one grandson.

Eddie Perkins

Eddie Perkins, 63, of Las Vegas died Aug. 2 in Las Vegas. He was born Aug. 12, 1937, in Dayton, Texas. A resident for eight years, he was a retired comptroller for an aircraft company.

He is survived by one son, Steven Andrews of Lakewood, Colo.; one sister, Erma Jackson of Los Angeles; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Elmira Reichel

Elmira Reichel, 89, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born July 30, 1912, in Worth, Ill. A resident for four years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Andrew; one daughter, Patricia E. Berschinski of Las Vegas; and one grandchild.

Virginia M. Sullenberger

Virginia M. Sullenberger, 85, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. She was born Nov. 27, 1915, in Lancaster, Pa. A resident for 47 years, she was a homemaker and ladies club champion two years in a row at Conestoga Country Club in Lancaster.

She is survived by two sons, Roger Sullenberger Sr. and Robert Sullenberger Jr., both of Las Vegas; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Ethel M. Taylor

Ethel M. Taylor, 93, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. She was born Oct. 3, 1907, in Stillwater, Okla. A resident for 58 years, she was a bookkeeper for Wells, Stewart Construction Co. Inc. and a member of the Women's Business Club.

She is survived by two stepdaughters, Maxine Arnoldsen and Madrene Mau, both of Las Vegas; eight step-grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 4-6 p.m. Wednesday in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday in First Christian Church, 101 S. Rancho Drive. A private burial will be in Memory Gardens, 7251 W. Lone Mountain Road.

Francis L. Vonsturm

Francis L. Vonsturm, 86, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local health care center. He was born June 1, 1915, in Baltimore. A resident for 50 years, he was a retired artist and a World War II Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Christina A.

Visitation was scheduled until 5 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd. Graveside services will be 1:20 p.m. Wednesday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.
