Metro Police are questioning a 47-year-old woman in connection with the shooting death of her husband this morning.
The woman called 911 this morning to report a disturbance at her apartment on Pirates Cove Road near Westcliff and Buffalo drives.
At some point during the conversation with the dispatcher the phone was disconnected or hung up, said Lt. Wayne Petersen of Metro's homicide unit.
When dispatchers again got in touch with the woman about 6:50 a.m., she said she had shot her husband. She claimed her husband had threatened her prior to the shooting, Petersen said.
The man was found dead inside the apartment, police said.
The woman was still being questioned by police and had not been charged in connection with the shooting as of this morning.
