Carroll Arnow
Carroll Arnow, 80, of Henderson died Saturday in Henderson. She was born Jan. 17, 1921, in Terre Haute, Ind. A resident for 40 years, she was an office worker and a member of the Wednesday Bible Study at Green Valley Presbyterian Church.
She is survived by her husband of 39 years, Martin; one daughter, Carol Brennan of Las Vegas; two sons, Robert Brennan of Henderson and Patrick Brennan of Prescott Valley, Ariz.; 14 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 7-9 p.m. Tuesday in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be 9:30 a.m. Wednesday in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Paradise Memorial Gardens, 6200 S. Eastern Ave.
Rose M. Campbell
Rose M. Campbell, 76, of Henderson died Sunday in Henderson. She was born Aug. 30, 1924, in Staten Island, N.Y. A resident for 14 years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband, Matthew F.; two daughters, Maureen Henderson of Las Vegas and Jeanne Campbell of Henderson; one son, Steven Campbell, and one brother, Andrew Licursi, both of Henderson; and two grandchildren.
A memorial service will be 4 p.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.
The family suggests donations to the Nathan Adelson Hospice, 4141 S. Swenson St., Las Vegas, NV 89119.
Patricia Y. Coates
Patricia Y. Coates, 53, of North Las Vegas died Friday in North Las Vegas. A resident for 41 years, she was born June 8, 1948, in Newport, Tenn.
She is survived by two sons, Michael Coates and Matt Coates, both of Las Vegas; and three grandchildren.
Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave., is arranging private services.
Victorio Esparza
Victorio Esparza, 75, of Henderson died Saturday in Henderson. He was born Jan. 12, 1926, in Mexico. A resident for several years, he was a laborer.
He is survived by his wife, Juana Calderon De Esparza; one son, Rafael Esparza of Las Vegas; three daughters, Maria Dela Luz Vazquez of California, Margarita Esparza De Robles of Mexico and Elvira Carvajal of Henderson; and two granddaughters.
Visitation is scheduled 1-7 p.m. Tuesday in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Mass will be celebrated 10 a.m. Wednesday in St. Christopher's Catholic Church, 1840 N. Bruce St. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.
Meyer Hodess
Meyer Hodess, 81, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospice. He was born July 5, 1920, in New York City. A resident for eight years, he was a retired wholesale milkman, a World War II Army veteran and a member of the Disabled American Veterans.
He is survived by three daughters, Suzanne Dollard of New Berlin, Wis., and Ellen Closi and Louiseann Hodess, both of Las Vegas; two sons, Benjamin Hodess of Las Vegas and Daniel Hodess of Davie, Fla.; two brothers, Samuel Hodess of Lantana, Fla., and Ruben Hodess of Berkeley, Calif.; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd., is handling arrangements.
The family suggests donations to Odyssey Health Care, 4011 McLeod Drive, Las Vegas, NV 89121 or the donor's favorite charity.
Peter G. Jaramillo
Peter G. Jaramillo, 74 of Las Vegas died Thursday in a San Diego hospital. He was born Feb. 2, 1927, in Ecuador. A resident for 38 years, he was the general consulate for Ecuador for the Las Vegas area, a real estate property developer, a member of the Southwest Rotary Club, Order of Saint John, Knights of Malta.
He is survived by his wife, Ginette; one daughter, Michele Jaramillo, and two sons, Jean Pierre Jaramillo and Philippe Jaramillo, all of Las Vegas; and six grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 4-8 p.m. Wednesday with 7 p.m. servicesin Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Srvices will be 1 p.m. Thursday in Our Lady of Las Vegas Catholic Church, 3050 Alta Drive. Graveside services will follow at 2:30 p.m. Thursday in Palm Memorial Park.
Florence J. Jones
Florence J. Jones, 94, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. She was born April 5, 1907, in Hampton, Ill. A resident for 26 years, she was a retired public school teacher, a member of University Methodist Church Dorcas Society, Paradise Active Seniors and Alpha Delta Kappa Sorority, a former member of Golden Gliders Square Dance Group and Senior Travel Club of Las Vegas.
She is survived by one daughter, Janet Beaty of Las Vegas; and one granddaughter.
Visitation is scheduled 30 minutes prior to a 2 p.m. memorial service Tuesday in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Burial will be private.
The family suggests donations to Chaddock Education Foundation, 205 S. 24 St., Quincy, IL 62301.
James E. Marolt
James E. Marolt, 50, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. He was born Sept. 30, 1950, in Milwaukee. A resident for 31 years, he was an employee of Bud Selig Autos in Milwaukee and most recently a maintenance supervisor for seven years at UNLV.
He is survived by two sons, Mark Marolt and Scott Marolt, both of Milwaukee; and his father, Edward Marolt of Las Vegas.
No local services are scheduled. Services and burial will be in Milwaukee. Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St., is handling arrangements.
Ruth Schur
Ruth Schur, 89, of North Las Vegas died Sunday in North Las Vegas. She was born July 14, 1912, in New York. A resident for many years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by one son, Michael Schur of New York; one brother, Paul Leichter of Las Vegas; and one grandchild.
No local services are scheduled. Burial will be in Florida. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.
Dorothy Faye Sweat-Redic
Dorothy Faye Sweat-Redic, 44, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. She was born Aug. 7, 1957, in San Bernardino, Calif. A resident for 40 years, she was a customer service representative for a utility company.
She is survived by two sons, Sharrief Sweat and Asunti Carter; two daughters, Aya Sweat and Afra Carter; her father, Ozell Sweat; her mother, Donna Stewart; and five grandchildren.
Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, handled arrangements.
Vera W. Taylor
Vera W. Taylor, 73, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. She was born June 11, 1928, in Tooele, Utah. A resident for 40 years, she was a retired civil service real estate manager.
She is survived by one sister, Amy W. Werner of Spring Valley, Calif.
Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to 10 a.m. servicesWednesday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.
