Convention centers eyed for baggage service

The Las Vegas company that offers remote baggage check-in service from 13 local hotels is negotiating to offer similar service at convention centers in Las Vegas and Chicago.
Certified Airline Passenger Services is in negotiations with the Las Vegas Convention Center and several Chicago businesses, including the operators of the McCormick Place convention center there, to provide passenger check-in service there.
The company already offers check-ins at several Las Vegas hotels and at one car rental agency.
A spokesman said CAPS went to Chicago and talked to officials at O'Hare International Airport, airlines and other businesses.
No deals have been signed.
