Robert Lynn Anderson

Robert Lynn Anderson, 65, of Henderson died Wednesday in Las Vegas. He was born May 22, 1936, in Rock Island, Ill. A resident for five years, he was a manufacturing engineer for Rockwell International and received the Snoopy Award for service excellence in building space shuttle main engines.

He is survived by his wife, Atha; two daughters, Teri Heitzinger and Lynette Y. Anderson, both of Henderson and one son, Robert L. Anderson, all of Henderson; one brother, Harold D. Anderson of Moline, Ill.; three sisters, Margorie Reid of Moline, June McDonald of Big Bear, Calif.; Jackie Melton of Portland, Ore.; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 10:30 a.m. until noon services Monday in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave.

Thomas Michael Ball

Thomas Michael Ball, 2, of Henderson died Thursday. He was born Sept. 17, 1998, in Lancaster, Calif.

He is survived by his parents, Chris and Kim Ball, and one sister, Christina Ball, all of Henderson; his grandparents, Dean and Darla Kenyon, and Donna Ball, all of Palmdale, Calif., and Bill Ball of Dayton; and his great-grandparents, Rene and Glenn Goslar of Goodsprings.

Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to 1 p.m. services Sunday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.

Joshwa Todd Boland

Joshwa Todd Boland, 25, of Las Vegas died Monday in Jean. He was born May 25, 1976, in Iowa. A resident for many years, he was a line tester in the telecommunications industry.

He is survived by his parents, Jon W. and Jeneene Boland of Albia, Iowa.

No local services are scheduled. Burial will be in Albia. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

Thomas Cain

Thomas Cain, 75, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. A civilian technician, he was born Oct. 31, 1925, in Canton, Ohio.

He is survived by his wife, Olga; two sons, David Cain of Pennsylvania and Steven Cain of Las Vegas; four daughters, Julia Barnett of Las Vegas, Rosemary Cain and Theresa Zweifel, both of Texas, and Christine Crossey of Pennsylvania; one sister, Mary Deemer of Pennsylvania; 10 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

No local services are scheduled. Burial will be private. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

Ruth Cairns

Ruth Cairns, 92, of Las Vegas died Thursday in a local care center. She was born June 13, 1909, in Yonkers Bush, N.Y. A resident for 10 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by one daughter, Ann Cairns of Las Vegas.

Hannelore M. Carle

Hannelore M. Carle, 76, of Las Vegas and Liberty, Pa., died Wednesday in a local hospital. She was born Feb. 14, 1925, in Essen, Pa. A resident for seven years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, George; two sons, Richard Carle of Meridian, Idaho, and Raymond Carle of Henderson; and two grandchildren.

Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave., is handling arrangements.

Edna Holmes

Edna Holmes, 59, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. She was born Oct. 26, 1941, in Tallulah, La. A resident for 32 years, she was a retired hotel inspectress.

She is survived by three daughters, Deborah Harris, Shirland Jones and Sheila Jones, one son, Wilfred Henderson, five stepsons, Clarence Holmes Jr., Ronnie Holmes, Terry Holmes, Jerry Holmes and Raymond Holmes, two stepdaughters, Debra Dorsey and Sandra Grayson, all of Las Vegas; three sisters, Mary Washington of Tallulah, La., and Ida Gainess and Izella March, both of Las Vegas; three brothers, J.D. Fine of Gary, Ind., Edward Jones of Los Angeles and Robert Henderson of Las Vegas; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 2-7 p.m. Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Services will be 11 a.m. Sunday in Palm Chapel, Main. Burial will follow in Palm Memorial Park.

Stella Huston

Stella Huston, 92, of Henderson died Wednesday in a local health care center. She was born Jan. 25, 1909, in Tacoma, Wash. A resident for six years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by one son, Wally Huston of Henderson; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Services will be in Billings, Mont., under the direction of Michelotti, Sawyer and Nordquist Funeral Home. Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd., is handling local arrangements.

Dave D. Kyle

Dave D. Kyle, 66, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born May 6, 1935, in Clinton, Okla. A resident for 12 years, he was a retired truck driver.

He is survived by his wife, Linda Henderson-Kyle of Las Vegas; and his mother, Annie Harl of Clinton, Okla.

Barbara H. Lutz

Barbara H. Lutz, 74, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. She was born Dec. 6, 1926, in East Chicago, Ind. A resident for seven years, she was a retired telephone operator for 35 years in California and a member of the Pioneer Club.

She is survived by one daughter, Carol J. Boswell; one grandchild and one great-grandson.

A memorial service will be 10 a.m. Friday in St. Peter's Catholic Church, 204 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson. Neptune Society of Nevada, 3110 E. Sunset Road, is handling arrangements.

A.T. MacIntyre

A.T. MacIntyre, 76, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born Oct. 10, 1924, in Pueblo, Colo. A resident for 26 years, he was retired from the realt estate business and a World War II Army veteran.

Services will be in Georgia. Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd., is handling arrangements.

Robert Murray

Robert Murray, 56, of Las Vegas died Aug. 8 in Las Vegas. He was born Nov. 2, 1944, in Texas. A resident for 15 years, he was a cook.

He is survived by one son, Weldon Robert Murray, one daughter, Valisa Pickens, his mother, Mary Perez, and one sister, Shiela Collinane, all of Las Vegas; and two brothers, Lawrence Murray of Las Vegas and Roger Talley of South Dakota; and one grandchild.

Graveside services were scheduled at 11 a.m. today in Woodlawn Cemetery. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

Beverly Gehrke Nelson

Beverly Gehrke Nelson, 71, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. She was born April 16, 1930, in Hayward, Wis. A resident for 17 years, she was a banquet waitress.

She is survived by her husband, Lloyd S.; five sons, Rodney Czadek of Darrington, Wash., Michael Czadek of San Marcos, Calif., Jeffrey Czadek and Craig Gehrke, both of Las Vegas, and James Czadek of Long Beach, Calif.; one brother, Eugene Larson of California; one sister, Marlys York of Torrance, Calif.; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 1:30 p.m. Sunday in Community Lutheran Church, 3720 E. Tropicana Ave. Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.

Judith M. O'Connor

Judith M. O'Connor, 59, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospice. She was born March 15, 1942, in Hawthorne, Calif. A resident for five years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, John J.; two daughters, Renee Gangeness of Fallbrook, Calif., and Jill Mitchell of Oceanside, Calif.; one son, Ronald Mitchell of Oceanside; one stepson, Daniel Troje of Colorado Springs, Colo.; one stepdaughter, Jennifer Aldritch of Apollo Beach, Fla.; one brother, Theodore J. Moore Jr. of Arroyo Grande, Calif.; and six grandchildren.

Barbara E. Ozuna

Barbara E. Ozuna, 70, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. She was born June 2, 1931, in Chicago. A resident for 49 years, she was a retired telephone company service representative and a member of the Helping Hands group at Shadow Hills Baptist Church.

She is survived by one daughter, Rebecca Hughes of Henderson; four sons, Michael Ozuna, Martin Ozuna, Philip Ozuna and Paul Ozuna, all of Las Vegas; one brother, Richard Skow of Adairsville, Ga.; one sister, Lillian Diehl of Boulder City; and nine grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 1-7 p.m. Sunday and 9 a.m.-noon Monday in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd. Additional visitation is scheduled one hour prior to 2 p.m. services Monday in Shadow Hills Baptist Church, 7811 Vegas Drive. Burial will follow in Palm Memorial Park, Northwest. Deward 'Kenny' Pearce

Deward "Kenny" Pearce, 80, of Las Vegas died Monday. He was born Sept. 26, 1920, in Oklahoma. A resident for 35 years, he was a trucker and a member of the Teamsters Union.

He is survived by his wife, Melinda Jo; two sons, Martin Landers of Las Vegas and Harry Landers of Boulder Creek, Calif.; one brother, Malcom Pearce of California; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

No local services are scheduled. Valley Memorial Crematory, 4855 W. Desert Inn Road, is handling arrangements.

Margaret D. Ransel

Margaret D. Ransel, 85, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospice. She was born Feb. 25, 1916, in Latrobe, Pa. A resident for six years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by two sons, Seb Ransel and Dennis Ransel, both of Las Vegas; one sister, Mary Ziolkowski, and one brother, Frank Dulovich, both of Latrobe, Pa.; and four grandchildren.

Services will be held in Pennsylvania under the direction of John J. Lopatich Funeral Home Inc., Latrobe, Pa. Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave., handled local arrangements.

Hilda A. Rodriguez

Hilda A. Rodriguez, 57, of North Las Vegas died Tuesday. A homemaker, she was born Jan. 23, 1944, in Mexico.

She is survived by four sons, Armando Madrid, Carlos Madrid, Jorge Madrid and Louis Madrid, all of Las Vegas; four daughters, Patricia Campa of Phoenix, Lucila Castello, Alma Cordon and Juana Vizcarra, all of Las Vegas, and Carmen Gamboa of Mexico; two brothers, Jesus Guirado of Phoenix and Pascario Elizalde of Mexico; 28 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Services were scheduled at 11:30 a.m. today in Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, followed by burial in Woodlawn Cemetery.

Kenneth Searles

Kenneth Searles, 89, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. He was born April 2, 1912, in Long Pine, Neb. A resident for 66 years, he was a retired owner of Anderson Dairy, a Southern Nevada rancher, founder of the Nevada State Dairy Commission, founding board member of the Boys Club of Clark County, a member of the Elks and Masons.

He is survived by his wife, Sunny; one daughter, Janiece Bellanger, and one brother, James Searles, both of Las Vegas; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be 9 a.m. Saturday in Woodlawn Cemetery. Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd., is handling arrangements.

Anna A. Stewart

Anna A. Stewart, 80, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. She was born Feb. 27, 1921, in Rosedale, N.J. A resident for 31 years, she was a retired housekeeper at the Savoy Motel.

She is survived by her husband, V. Carroll; one daughter, Marie Bartley of Lindell, Pa.; one son, Jack Kolk of Las Vegas; one stepdaughter, Karyl Sunny Markakis of Las Vegas; one stepson, Darrell Stewart of Hartford, Conn.; one sister, Frances Beswick of Pennsylvania; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 1-5 p.m. Sunday in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Services will be 10 a.m. Monday in Bunkers Chapel. Entombment will follow in Eden Vale Mausoleum.

Marion Turcotte

Marion Turcotte, 73, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. She was born May 9, 1928, in Michigan. A resident for many years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Ronald.

Richard A. Weller Sr.

Richard A. Weller Sr., 82, of Henderson died Wednesday in Henderson. He was born June 16, 1919, in Indianapolis. A resident for 59 years, he was a retired plumber and pipefitter, a World War II Army veteran, a member of Plumbers and Pipefitters Local 525 and Mount Moriah Henderson Masonic Lodge 39.

He is survived by his wife, Jeanette; one daughter, Diane Anglin of Bessemer, Ala.; two sons, George R. Weller and Richard A. Weller, both of Henderson; nine grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will continue until 7 p.m. today and 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. services Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson.
