Workshop to focus on basic techniques
The Henderson Parks and Recreation Department is offering a beginners' stained glass workshop 5-7:30 p.m. Monday at the Black Mountain Recreation Center, 599 Greenway Road.
The workshop will focus on the basics of stained glass, pattern making, cutting glass, copper foiling and other operations.
Participation is $28, which includes supplies and use of all equipment. Call 565-2880.
Entertainers scheduled at MGM event
A fund-raiser for the Entertainment Development Corp. and CineVegas International Film Festival will feature several Strip entertainers Sunday at olio!, a restaurant at MGM Grand.
The program will begin at 7:30 p.m. and is expected to last all night.
Celebrity appearances include: Tom Jones, Siegfried and Roy, Clint Holmes, Wayne Newton, members of Cirque du Soleil, "The Rat Pack is Back," Lance Burton, Bill Acosta, Scintas, the Amazing Johnathan, members of Blue Man Group, Penn and Teller and Rita Rudner.

Humanist Association offers Sunday program
The Humanist Association of Las Vegas and Southern Nevada will sponsor a free presentation and slide show on the Citizens Wilderness proposal for Southern Nevada at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Las Vegas Library, 833 Las Vegas Blvd. North.
Jeremy Garncarz and Tom Derush of the Southern Nevada Grassroots Organization for Nevada Wilderness will be the featured speakers.

Las Vegas Councilwoman Lynette Boggs McDonald

The Northwestern University Club
