A New York concert promoter sued a Las Vegas radio station, alleging it suffered financial losses when a concert series at the Silver Bowl Park didn't go forward as planned.
Lisa Lee Rapuzzi, doing business as Webstock Concert Series, who said she paid Lotus Broadcasting Corp. doing business as KOMP Radio FM 92 to promote the concert event, sued the radio station in Clark County District Court.
She alleged KOMP defamed the event when it allegedly called it "Flopstock" instead of "Webstock" and told its listeners the event wasn't taking place.
Rapuzzi said KOMP was to provide public service announcements and on-air promotions including ticket giveaways and concert listings.
But she alleged that a station official, Tim Ryan, spent several minutes trying to convince her not to attend the event when she called into the station pretending to be a listener.
KOMP declined comment.
