Barnes Distribution of Cleveland said it closed its two-worker distribution operation in Las Vegas in July as part of a plan to consolidate four West Coast operations into one main distribution center in Reno.
The distributor of maintenance and operating supplies said the closure of the four distribution centers in Las Vegas, Sparks, Bakersfield, Calif., and Auburn, Wash., will be completed by the end of the fourth quarter and is expected to save about $750,000 annually.
The two Las Vegas workers rejected the company's employment offer in Reno, a spokesman said.
