Second body ID’d in Henderson fire
Monday, Aug. 13, 2001 | 10:24 a.m.
The second body found burned inside a Henderson home last week has been identified as 32-year-old Sonny Thaker.
The Clark County coroner's office determined last week the other body found in the home was that of Yudit Thaker, Sonny Thaker's wife. The bodies were found in the master bedroom at 90 Parker Ranch Drive about 5:15 p.m. Aug. 6.
Police believe the fire in the home was deliberately set, but no cause of death has been determined. Detectives are investigating the deaths as homicides, but they have not ruled if it was a double murder or a murder-suicide, Officer Terry Bowler, a Henderson Police spokesman, said.
The Thakers lived in the home with Yudit Thaker's 8-year-old son from a previous marriage. The boy was picked up at school by another family member after his mother and stepfather did not pick him up.
