Green Valley gains Western Regional finals

Green Valley moved a step closer to the Little League World Series, topping Tucson, Ariz., 5-3 Sunday in the Western Regionals semifinals at San Bernardino, Calif. The Green Valley team will face Oceanside, Calif., in the finals on Tuesday. The game will be televised beginning at 7 p.m. on ESPN2. Oceanside beat Taylorsville, Utah, 4-2 on Sunday.
Travis Jones had two hits to pace the Green Valley offense, while Matt Harrison and Ben Morris combined for the pitching win.
