Students can take test on Sept. 22
The next ACT Assessment, one of two predominant college admissions tests, will be given Sept. 22.
College-bound students must have registrations for the exam in the mail by Friday. Test fee is $24. Registrations postmarked after Friday and by Aug. 31 may be accepted, with an extra fee.
Students can register by getting information from their high school counselors or online (www.act.org).
The Nevada Department of Agriculture
will assist businesses and individuals with disposing of banned, unwanted, old and unusable pesticides. To register for the program before Aug. 31, call the department at 486-4690 for an inventory form and instructions.
