As expected, the NCAA has given approval to a Cincinnati promoter to hold three holiday college basktball tournaments at Las Vegas' Valley High School. Valley became the alternative site when the NCAA told promoter Chris Spencer of Worldwide Basketball that it would not allow the events to be played at the Paris hotel, as originally planned, because of gambling concerns.
The three tournaments are set for Nov. 19-21, Nov. 22-24 and Dec. 20-22. Oklahoma State, Illinois, Georgia Tech, Pennsylvania, Cincinnati and Purdue are some of the teams that will compete.
