Alice R. Bayne

Alice R. Bayne, 88, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local care center. She was born Dec. 15, 1912, in Boston. A resident for 58 years, she was a retired retail clerk at various local businesses including White Cross Drugs, where she was employed for many years.

She is survived by two sons, Michael Kalashian of San Jose, Calif., and Gene Kalashian of Las Vegas; two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Visitation is scheduled 4-7 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Services will be 9:30 a.m. Tuesday in St. Anne Catholic Church, 1901 S. Maryland Parkway. Graveside services will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery.

The family suggests donations to St. Vincent Homeless Shelter, 1501 Las Vegas Blvd North, Las Vegas, NV 89101.

Catherine B. Booth

Catherine B. Booth, 86, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. She was born July 11, 1915, in Brooklyn, N.Y. A resident for 20 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by three daughters, Mary A. Cole of Staten Island, N.Y., Maureen Skinner of Las Vegas and Marilyn Maxwell of Sydney, Australia; one son, Edward J. Smith of Brooklyn; three sisters, Rose Doepke, Emma Deichler and Madelyn Arnold, all of California; two brothers, Henry Story and Matthew Story, both of Las Vegas; 15 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 4-7 p.m. Tuesday in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd.

John Calabrese

John Calabrese, 81, of Henderson died Friday in Henderson. A resident for six months, he was born Aug. 19, 1919.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Marie; three brothers, Alex Calabrese, Anthony Calabrese and Albert Calabrese; and two sisters, Eleanor Khory and Betty Calabrese.

Visitation is scheduled 30 minutes prior to a 2 p.m. service Tuesday in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. Burial will follow in Paradise Memorial Gardens.

Linda Lee Foland

Linda Lee Foland, 42, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. She was born March 13, 1959, in Denver. A resident for 2 1/2 years, she was a hospital nurse.

She is survived by one daughter, Arron Foland, her mother, Jean Fredlund, her father, Daniel Foland Sr., and two brothers, Daniel Foland Jr. and Gary Donald, all of Denver; four sisters, Teresa Jarman of San Diego, Diane Bame of Topeka, Kan., Katherine Donald of Denver and Penny Saunders of Minneapolis; and her grandmother, Vivian Newhouse of Las Vegas.

Services will be in Denver. Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd., is handling arrangements.

Francisco Medrano-Moreno

Francisco Medrano-Moreno, 42, of North Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. He was born April 1, 1959, in Acapulco, Mexico. A resident for 12 years, he was a tile setter for Granite World.

He is survived by his companion, Yolanda Orvera, one daughter, Ahahi Medrano, one son, Javier Medrano, one stepson, Juan Saldivan Orvera, two stepdaughters, Wendy Oervera and Erendida Saloivan, and his mother, Stefania Moreno, all of Las Vegas; six brothers, Demetrio Medrano of Las Vegas and Anselmo Medrano, Teodoro, Enrique, Juan and Avfo; and three sisters, Balvina, Rocio and Margarita.

A vigil at the family home, 1642 Ingraham Ave., North Las Vegas, will begin 2 p.m. Monday until 2:30 p.m. services Tuesday at St. Christopher's Catholic Church, 1840 N. Bruce St. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.

Donald M. Rogers

Donald M. Rogers, 49, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. He was born July 11, 1952, in Spokane, Wash. A resident for 26 years, he was a cement finisher.

He is survived by one daughter, Danielle Rogers of Hazelwood, Mo.; his mother, Jacqueline Musler of Las Vegas; five brothers; one sister; and one grandson.

A memorial service will be 5 p.m. Wednesday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St., is handling arrangements.

Lee Singer

Lee Singer, 86, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. She was born June 21, 1915, in New York City. A resident for seven years, she was a homemaker, a member of City of Hope and B'nai B'rith.

She is survived by one daughter, Bobbie Gang of Las Vegas; two sons, Larry Singer of Henderson and Ronald Singer of Houston; one sister, Fay Durlester of Brooklyn, N.Y.; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Services were scheduled at 3 p.m. today in King David Memorial Chapel and Cemetery, 2697 Eldorado Lane, followed by graveside services Palm Valley View Memorial Park.

The family suggests donations to Big Brothers-Big Sisters of Southern Nevada, 3355 Spring Mountain Road, Las Vegas, NV 89102.

Madeline Tamialis

Madeline Tamialis, 77, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. She was born June 25, 1924, in Huntington, W.Va. A resident for 36 years, she was a retired Golden Nugget gift shop saleswoman for many years and a World War II Navy Wave.

She is survived by one cousin, Elizabeth McYoung of Charleston, W.Va.

Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to 11 a.m. services Tuesday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park. Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St., is handling arrangements.

Homer C. Wilson

Homer C. Wilson, 85, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born May 30, 1916, in Idaho. A resident for many years, he was a railroad engineer.

He is survived by one daughter, Mary Lewis of Las Vegas.

No local services are scheduled. Burial will be in Idaho. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.
