Wanita B. Alldridge

Wanita B. Alldridge, 77, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. She was born March 9, 1924, in Fort Worth, Texas. A resident for 39 years, she was a hospital housekeeper and was a former president of the Las Vegas Eagles Lodge.

She is survived by two sons, John Alldridge and Gary Alldridge, both of Las Vegas; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Neptune Society of Nevada, 3110 E. Sunset Road, is handling arrangements.

Gabriel J. Bonzoumet

Gabriel J. Bonzoumet, 85, of Henderson died Wednesday in Henderson. He was born April 6, 1916, in New York. A resident for three years, he was a master electrician and a World War II Army veteran and member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

He is survived by his wife, Gladys; two daughters, Annette Ferguson and Susan Baker, both of California; three sons, Larry Bonzoumet and Christopher Bonzoumet, both of California, and Robert Bonzoumet of Nevada; and one sister, Grace Bouzoumet of France.

Graveside services will be 12:30 p.m. Saturday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

Maury Bruner

Maury Bruner, 79, of Henderson died Monday in a local care center. He was born July 3, 1922, in Norwalk, Calif. A resident for six weeks, he was a retired factory vice president and World War II veteran of the Merchant Marines.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Helen; three sons, Lance Bruner of Solvang, Calif., Shawn Bruner of San Diego and Brandt Bruner of Henderson; one daughter, Anita Bruner of Waddell, Ariz.; his mother, Laura Bruner of Fullerton, Calif.; one sister, Virginia Larson of Placentia, Calif.; 11 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.

Al Buress

Al Buress, 76, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. He was born Sept. 23, 1924, in Herring, Ill. A resident for 45 years, he was a retired casino shift boss and World War II Army veteran.

He is survived by one daughter, Diane Foster, and one son, Daniel Buress, both of Las Vegas; one sister, Bertha Faraca of Whittier, Calif.; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Shirley Carson

Shirley Carson, 88, of Las Vegas died July 19 in Las Vegas. She was born March 25, 1913, in Michigan. A resident for many years, she was a bank teller.

She is survived by one sister, Helen Bronfin of Panorama City, Calif.

Vivian Coughenour

Vivian Coughenour, 83, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local health care center. She was born March 19, 1918, in Pennsylvania. A resident for 18 years, she was a retired real estate manager.

She is survived by one daughter, Carol Gratton of Las Vegas; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 2-7 p.m. Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday in Palm Chapel, Main.

Earl Edmonson Jr.

Earl Edmonson Jr., 73, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local health care center. He was born Dec. 15, 1927, in Laredo, Texas. A resident for 14 years, he was a retired estimator in the construction industry, a World War II Army veteran and a former member of the Elks.

He is survived by three daughters, Anne Danielson of Chandler, Ariz., and Kathleen Peterson and Alea Boudreau, both of Gilbert, Ariz.; three sons, Michael Edmonson of Kernville, Calif., Timothy Edmonson of Palmdale, Calif., and Chris Edmonson of Las Vegas; two sisters, Lillian Walker of Montana and Lou Fort of Las Vegas; and seven grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 3 p.m. Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd.

Thomas E. Grimes

Thomas E. Grimes, 62, of North Las Vegas died July 18 in North Las Vegas. A painter and an Air Force veteran, he was born Oct. 1, 1938, in Washington. D.C.

He is survived by his wife, Rita Grimes-Maclean of Garden Grove, Calif.; two sons, Thomas Grimes III and Stephen Grimes, both of Maryland; three daughters, Theresa Stair of Maryland, Marsha Grimes of Virginia and Tayna Roach of California; two brothers, Ron Grimes of Dallas and Gary Grimes of Virginia; three sisters, Donna Grimes and Carol Marshall, both of Arizona, and Debbie Riordon of Las Vegas; and numerous grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 4 p.m. Friday in Bunkers Mortuary's chapel, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Burial will be private.

Vicki Ann Hagans

Vicki Ann Hagans, 54, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. She was born Nov. 20, 1946, in Covina, Calif. A resident for 11 years, she was a casino slot floorperson.

She is survived by her husband, Walter E.; one son, Lee Craig Bennett of Malden, Mo.; one daughter, Leza Marie Arther of Las Vegas; her stepdaughter, Cheryl Lynn Hagans of Las Vegas; her mother and stepfather, Audrea J. and Samuel R. Merryman of Ventura, Calif.; one brother, Steven R. Devoe of Burbank, Calif.; and six grandchildren.

Dona M. Harris

Dona M. Harris, 82, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. She was born March 15, 1918, in Fordyce, Ark. A resident for 45 years, she was a hotel porter and a member of the Fordyce Club.

She is survived by two sons, Clarence and Phil; and three grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to 10 a.m. services Friday in Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Graveside services will follow at 11 a.m. Friday in Woodlawn Cemetery.

Henry R. Houston

Henry R. Houston, 72, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. He was born May 1, 1929, in Chamberlain, S.D. A resident for 29 years, he retired as a maintenance engineer at the Nevada Test Site in 1994, was a Korean War Army veteran, a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars 1057, Herbert Porter Lodge and Masonic Lodge and a was a union steward from Local 226.

He is survived by his wife, Julia M.; five daughters, Chere L. Howard and Robin Van Hausen, both of Las Vegas, Inez Houston of Toledo, Ohio, Lydia Houston of Lima, Ohio, and Rene Beck of Lubbock, Texas; five sons, Henry E. Houston and Victor T. Houston, both of Las Vegas, Fred Orguna of Lincoln, Neb., and Broderick Houston and Arnold Houston, both of Lima; one sister, Dolly Taylor of Lima; 25 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 11 a.m.-8 p.m. Friday in American Burial and Cremation Services, 310 Foremaster Lane. Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday in American Burial and Cremation Services. Burial will be private.

Phillip L. Huse

Phillip L. Huse, 63, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. He was born Nov. 15, 1937, in Nevada, Iowa. A resident for six years, he was a retired oil warehouseman and a Navy veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Rachel; one stepdaughter, Audrey Morken of Mankato, Minn.; two sons, David Huse of San Pedro, Calif., and Mark Huse of Ames, Iowa; three stepsons, Erik Morken of Eau Claire, Wis., Kurt Morken of Torrance, Calif., and Bjorn Morken of Ames; three sisters, Peggy Jankowski and Vickie Kaloudis, both of Las Vegas, and Maxine Archuleta of Ames; two brothers, Donald Huse of Vancouver, Wash., and Jerry Huse of Carson, Calif.; and seven grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 4-7 p.m. Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd. Graveside services will be noon Monday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.

Ryan Charles Kamp

Ryan Charles Kamp, 21, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. He was born April 14, 1980, in Washington. A resident for three months, he was an auto glass installer.

He is survived by his parents, Charles and Judy Kamp; one brother, Jared Kamp; and one sister, Betsy Birdsley.

Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling private arrangements.

Marjorie Fern Long

Marjorie Fern Long, 85, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. She was born May 21, 1916, in Wichita, Kan. A resident for 59 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by two daughters, Margie Critser of Lake Topaz and Julie Moreland of Henderson; two sons, James M. Long and Larry M. Long, both of Las Vegas; nine grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will continue until 7 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Services will be 10 a.m. Friday in Palm Chapel, Main. Burial will follow in Palm Memorial Park.

Leonard Michalski

Leonard Michalski, 75, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. He was born March 10, 1926, in Detroit. A resident for nine years, he was a retired bartender.

He is survived by one sister, Virginia Macina of Detroit.

Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Friday in Paradise Memorial Gardens. Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.

Aceline Paul

Aceline Paul, 74, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. She was born June 24, 1926, in Haiti. A resident for three years, she was a nurse's aide.

She is survived by two sons, Andre Rampal and Gerard Pierre; two daughters, Margarette Pierre Amboise and Micheline Pierre; and nine grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to 10 a.m. services Saturday in Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Burial will follow at 11 a.m. Saturday in Eden Vale Memorial Park.

Harriet Powers

Harriet Powers, 67, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. She was born Jan. 27, 1934, in Michigan. A resident for many years, she was a bookkeeper.

She is survived by one sister, Toby Rabin of Las Vegas.

No local services are scheduled. Burial will be in Michigan. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

Carol Naomi Reid

Carol Naomi Reid, 63, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. She was born May 1, 1938, in Creston, Iowa. A resident for two years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by one daughter, Lynette Pollorena of Los Olivos, Calif.; three sons, Curtis A. Rastatter of Spring, Texas, Neil Rastatter of Strathmore, Calif., and Lorne Reid of Las Vegas; her mother, Viola Rittenhouse of Las Vegas; and eight grandchildren.

A memorial service was scheduled at 11 a.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.

Paul G. 'Dusty' Rhoades

Paul G. "Dusty" Rhoades, 89, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. He was born April 22, 1912, in Kit Carson, Colo. A resident for 12 years, he was a retired health and safety director in the Energy Department.

He is survived by one daughter, Sara Rhoades of Las Vegas; and one son, Jack Rhoades of Richland, Wash.; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

He is survived by one son, Jerome; one daughter, Nancy; one brother, Harold; three sisters, Delores, Lorraine and Martha; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

A memorial service was scheduled at noon today in Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North.

Michael H. Shelton

Michael H. Shelton, 44, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. He was born July 29, 1957, in Fresno, Calif. A resident for four years, he was a chief executive officer for Aircraft Tool and Maintenance Equipment.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy M.; one daughter, Nicolette F. Shelton of Las Vegas; his parents, E. Darline and Judson G. Shelton of San Marcos, Calif.; one brother, Gregory T. Shelton of Vista, Calif.; and one sister, Kathleen Jackola of Sumner, Wash.

Visitation is scheduled 4-7 p.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave. Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday in Palm Chapel, Cheyenne.

She is survived by two daughters, Dallena Young and Sheila Rachels, both of Las Vegas; three sisters, Dollie Lawrence and Jeweldine Taylor, both of Tucson, Ariz., and Lillie Fields of New Orleans; three grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Albert R. Valenzuela, 78, of Henderson died Saturday in a local care center. He was born Aug. 6, 1922, in Tucson, Ariz. A resident for 18 years, he was a retired plasterer and a World War II Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Mary C.; two daughters, Helen Ballesteros and Patsy Jimenez, both of Covina, Calif.; two sons, Albert Valenzuela Jr. of San Gabriel, Calif., and Richard Valenzuela of Henderson; two sisters, Gloria Caballero of Pico Rivera, Calif., and Olivia Sanchez of LaPuenta, Calif.; one brother, Peter Valenzuela of El Sereno, Calif.; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Mass will be celebrated 10 a.m. Friday in St. Peter's Catholic Church, 204 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson. Burial will follow in Palm Memorial Park, Henderson.

Terryl D. Wilburn

Terryl D. Wilburn, 44, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. He was born July 27, 1957, in Las Vegas. A lifelong resident, he owned a gift shop.

He is survived by two daughters, Leslee Cromer and Tierny Wilburn, one son, Terryl Wilburn Jr., and his parents, Erva and Larry Wilburn, all of Las Vegas; one sister, Kay Brown of San Francisco; and three grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 2-8 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Services will be 1 p.m. Friday in Palm Chapel, Main.
