Letter: Police chief, pharmacist deserve medals
Thursday, Aug. 2, 2001 | 8:50 a.m.
The Sun reported on July 27 that pharmacist Scott Larsen was fined $1,000 and required to take a law test for reporting what he perceived to be "drug prescription abuse" by a police officer.
Upon the disclosure, the chief of the North Las Vegas Police Department investigated the matter and terminated the police officer, apparently for obtaining multiple drug prescriptions from multiple physicians.
Both of these people should receive medals for their guts to do the right thing by protecting the public.
