Thursday, Aug. 2, 2001 | 11:27 a.m.

President Bush today announced the nomination of Judge Larry Hicks of Reno for one of two new federal judge positions in Nevada.

Sen. John Ensign, R-Nev., recommended Hicks to fill one of two new positions included in a bill signed in 1999 by President Clinton.
