The Construction Specifications Institute, an organization of 18,000 architects, engineers, builders and building suppliers, will conduct its international convention and trade show in Las Vegas next year.
Dan Merriman, communications manager at CSI's national office, said the convention would be June 27-30 and the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority said the event would be at the Las Vegas Hilton.
About 12,000 people are expected to attend the show.
The organization, based in Alexandria, Va., was founded in 1948 and has 143 chapters nationwide. It conducted this year's convention in Dallas and more than 650 companies exhibited at the trade show.
CSI has never met in Las Vegas and Ken Small, president of the Las Vegas chapter of CSI, is coordinating the event.
The organization is dedicated to reviewing specifications of a wide variety of construction materials and products.
