Mikohn, Anchor plan new slot bonus system
Monday, April 30, 2001 | 10:54 a.m.
Two Las Vegas-based casino suppliers have signed an agreement to develop a new slot game bonus system modeled after Pachinko, a game popular in Japan.
Mikohn Gaming Corp. and Anchor Gaming said today they would share profits equally on the venture. The companies are developing prototypes of the machine. Anchor will supply the machines and will be responsible for the marketing of them while Mikohn will contribute patent rights and signs and displays for machines.
Pachinko is a vertical pinball game in which the movement of mechanical balls determines noncash prizes for players.
