Vegas getting first air service from Montreal

Friday, April 27, 2001 | 11:17 a.m.

Air Canada Airlines will add two more twice-weekly nonstop flights between Canada and Las Vegas in the fall, inaugurating service to Montreal.

The airline, which earlier this month announced four new Las Vegas flights -- two each to and from Calgary and Vancouver -- already operates nine flights a week to and from Toronto.

Like the other twice-a-week flights, the new Montreal routes will be operated Thursdays and Sundays and will begin Oct. 25.

The flights will be the first direct scheduled service between McCarran International Airport and Montreal, Canada's second-largest city.
