Benjamin Barton and Holly Barton
Benjamin Barton, 8, and Holly Barton, 33, son and mother, both of Las Vegas, died Sunday. Benjamin was born Feb. 21, 1993, and Holly was born Aug. 21, 1967, both in Las Vegas. Holly was a teacher at Chaparral High School and a Western High School graduate.
Holly is survived by her husband, James Barton, two daughters, Rebekah Barton and Ellee Barton, and one son, Matthew Barton, all of Las Vegas; her mother, Joyce Wasden of St. George, Utah; and three sisters, Kelly Cram and Karyn Albright, both of Las Vegas, and Whitney Bleazard of St. George. Benjamin is also survived by his paternal grandparents, Dennis and Lavaughn Barton of Las Vegas.
Visitation is scheduled 4-8 p.m. Sunday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave. Additional visitation is scheduled noon until 1 p.m. services Monday in the LDS Lone Mountain Stake Center. Burial will follow in Palm Memorial Park, Northwest.
The family suggests donations to the LDS Perpetual Education Fund.
Patrick Michael Hallahan
Patrick Michael Hallahan, 46, of Las Vegas died April 20 in Las Vegas. He was born Aug. 19, 1954, in Pennsylvania. A resident for 20 years, he was a carpenter and an Army veteran.
He is survived by his parents, Edward and Mary of Bel Aire, Md.; one son, Patrick; and five sisters, Elizabeth "B.J." Regina of Bel Aire; Alicia of New York City, Mary "Ginger" Regina of San Diego, Susan Mary of Pasadena, Calif., and Joan Marie of Laguna Hills, Calif.
No local services are scheduled. Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.
Emma de Haueter
Emma de Haueter, 82, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. She was born Jan. 22, 1919, in El Salvador. A resident for five years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by one son, Carl F. Haueter of Las Vegas; one daughter, Yvonne Zaskoda of Lake Tahoe; and four grandchildren.
No local services are scheduled. Burial will be in Carson City. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, handled arrangements.
Ellen Parsons Hodnicki
Ellen Parsons Hodnicki, 87, of Boulder City died Wednesday in a local hospital. She was born March 10, 1914, in Syracuse, N.Y. A resident for 23 years, she was a retired loan officer for a banking company.
She is survived by one brother, Alfred Parsons of Sun City West, Ariz.
No services are scheduled. Entombment will be in Palm Mausoleum in Boulder City. Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson, handled arrangements.
Charles M. Lynch
Charles M. Lynch, 82, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospice. He was born April 4, 1919, in St. Louis. A resident for 35 years, he was a retired automotive specialist, World War II Marine Corps veteran, a member of the Elks Lodge 1468 and a Life Member of the Marine Corps League, Disabled Veterans Chapter 11 and 3rd Marine Division DAV.
He is survived by his wife, Kathleen; three daughters, Patricia Sontheimer of Florissant, Mont., Loretta Lynch of Las Vegas and Kathleen Forbus of Santa Barbara, Calif.; one son, Michael Lynch of Las Vegas; two brothers, William Lynch of Fullerton, Calif., and Jack Lynch of St. Louis; one sister, Mary Catherine Riegerix of St. Louis; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled noon-7 p.m. Sunday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Services will be 9:30 a.m. Monday in St. Bridget's Catholic Church, 220 N. 14th St. Graveside services will be 11:30 a.m. Monday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.
The family suggests donations to the Nathan Adelson Hospice, 4141 S. Swenson St., Las Vegas, NV 89119.
Patrick Joseph McDonald
Patrick Joseph McDonald, 76, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local care center. He was born March 17, 1925, in New Jersey. A resident for seven years, he was a dairy worker.
He is survived by his wife, Rose; one son, Robert McDonald; and one sister, Ruth Gracie.
Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.
David Douglas Medland
David Douglas Medland, 38, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. He was born March 15, 1963, in Morocco. A resident for 17 years, he was a casino worker.
He is survived by two daughters, Amber Nicole Johnson and Amanda Kay Johnson, both of Las Vegas; his mother, Erna Medland-Mincher of Salem, Ore., and Norman Medland of Redlands, Calif.; two sisters, Nancy Strawn and Kathryn Medland, both of Salem; and his grandfather, Bill Medland of Centerville, Iowa.
Services will be 5 p.m. Monday in Mountainview Seventh-Day Adventist Church, 6001 W. Oakey Blvd. Burial will be private. Davis Funeral Home, 2127 W. Charleston Blvd., is handling arrangements.
Charles Joseph O'Neill
Charles Joseph O'Neill, 86, of Boise, Idaho, died Monday in Boise. He was born Aug. 11, 1914, in Butte, Mont. A former Las Vegas resident, he was a machinist and mechanic for the Flamingo and Hilton hotels and a World War II and Korean War Army Air Corps veteran.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Edith T.
He is survived by one son, Charles Joseph O'Neill of Eagle, Idaho; and two granddaughters.

Mabel E. Palmer
Mabel E. Palmer, 85, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local care center. She was born Jan. 30, 1916, in Santa Maria, Calif. A resident for nine years, she was a retired owner/operator of a bakery company and a member of the St. Viator Senior Group and Paradise Park Seniors Group.
She is survived by two daughters, Judie Goffstein and Carole Gribble, both of Las Vegas; three sons, Richard Romo of San Antonio, Robert Romo of Salinas, Calif., and David Romo of Deerfield Beach, Fla.; two brothers, Robert Brass and Joe Brass, both of Santa Maria, Calif.; seven grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and two great great-grandchildren.

Marie Puckett
Marie Puckett, 95, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. She was born Oct. 15, 1905, in Pennsylvania. A resident for many years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by one sister, Mona Wilmot of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.

Bertha Roberts
Bertha Roberts, 79, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. She was born Dec. 17, 1921, in Missouri. A longtime resident, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by one daughter, Laura Roberts of Newbury Park, Calif.

Merrill Gerald Sheaffer
Merrill Gerald Sheaffer, 76, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. He was born Nov. 8, 1924, in Mt. Pleasant, Mich. A resident for 16 years, he was a retired repairman for an electronics company and a World War II Navy veteran.
He is survived by one daughter, Carol Nelson of Rockford, Ill.; one son, Robert Sheaffer of San Jose, Calif.; two sisters, Mary Donaldson of Pittsburgh and Diana Freese of Las Vegas; one brother, William Sheaffer of Flint, Mich.; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation will continue until 7 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday in Palm Mortuary, Eastern.
David Sicherman
David Sicherman, 87, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. He was born Dec. 1, 1913, in New York City. A resident for 20 years, he was a retired business owner.
He is survived by two sons, Leonard of Las Vegas and Howard of California; two sisters, Regina Kaplin of New York and Sophie Kesterbaum of Florida; and three grandchildren.
Graveside services were scheduled at 1 p.m. today in Eden Vale Memorial Park. Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North, handled arrangements.
Jerry F. Stibor
Jerry F. Stibor, 77, of Las Vegas died Wednesday. He was born Oct. 9, 1923, in Cleveland. A resident for 37 years, he was a retired auto body shop manager, World War II Army veteran and a member of the 17th Airborne Division.
He is survived by his wife, Lillian; two sons, David Stibor and Jerry Stibor, and two brothers, Robert Stibor and George Stibor, all of Las Vegas; and two grandchildren.
A memorial service will be 1 p.m. Sunday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.
The family suggests donations to the American Cancer Society, 1325 E. Harmon Ave., Las Vegas, NV 89119.
Judith Ann Taggart
Judith Ann Taggart, 49, of St. George, Utah, died Sunday in St. George. She was born April 30, 1951, in Seattle. A former resident from 1975 until 1988, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by two sons, Aaron Slancy of Lehi, Utah, and Nathaniel Taggart of St. George; four sisters, June Wharton of Renton, Wash., Faye Reese of Port Angeles, Wash., Kanani Scanoa of Las Vegas and Ellen Mitchell of Sacramento; five brothers, Ellis Baumgarner of Long View, Wash., John Glatt of Las Vegas, Roger Glatt of Everett, Wash., Glenn Glatt of Reno and Chris Glatt of Seattle; and one grandchild.
Services will be 3 p.m. Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Graveside services will be 4 p.m. Saturday in Palm Memorial Park.
The family suggests donations to the Utah State University in Logan, Utah.
Robert L. Valdez
Robert L. Valdez, 17, of Las Vegas died April 17 in Las Vegas. He was born Sept. 26, 1983, in Las Vegas. A lifelong resident, he was a student.
He is survived by his parents, Robert Butler and Eileen Valdez; two brothers, Michael and Devon Butler; three sisters, Irene Akeila, Anglenett Harris and Lakiha Baker; and his grandparents, Lorraine Valdez and Esterlene Butler.
Services were scheduled at 9 a.m. today in Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, followed by burial in Woodlawn Cemetery.
Tina Marie Washington
Tina Marie Washington, 37, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. She was born June 2, 1963, in Walnut Creek, Calif. A resident for 23 years, she was a nurse's aid.
She is survived by her mother, Marion L. Washington, and one sister, Renee D. Washington, both of Las Vegas; and three brothers, John H. Washington Jr., of Paso Robles, Calif., Kenneth L. Washington of West Hills, Calif., and Marc P. Washington of Las Vegas.
Services will be private. Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave., handled arrangements.
Lucia Marie Wasielewski
Lucia Marie Wasielewski, 69, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. A resident for 18 years, she was born June 19, 1931, in New Jersey.
She is survived by three daughters, Julie Campman, Nadine King, Maria Foxman and Darlene Howland; one brother, Wayne Harring Jr.; 14 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday in St. Rose Hospital's chapel. Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.
Harold Wein
Harold Wein, 71, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. He was born Oct. 7, 1929, in the Bronx, N.Y. A longtime resident, he was a sanitary engineer.
He is survived by his wife, Carole.
No local services are scheduled. Burial will be in Forest Hils, N.Y. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson.
