Golf: Californian captures Ladies Challenge event

Cheryl Musser fired a personal-best and course record 67 in the final round to win the Ladies Challenge Golf Tour event Wednesday at Sunrise Vista Golf Course.

Musser, a 4-foot-11 phenomenon from Valencia, Calif., carded eight birdies, five on the back nine, to beat her closest competitor, Nicolle Flood, by eight shots with a two-day total of 139.

Las Vegans: Jeannine Fiorito 81-73--154, Kristin Sunderhaft 84-75--159, Sondia Gogue 83-76--159 and Josephine Limoli 99-95--194.
