Wells Fargo fund offers college help
Wells Fargo Education Financial Services has awarded a $1,000 scholarship to Las Vegas High School senior Jonathan Pedersen.
The award is one of 250 scholarships totaling $250,000 that Wells Fargo EFS will award to high school seniors this year through its CollegeSTEPS college-planning program.
CollegeSTEPS offers high school students information on preparing for college, taking tests and applying for scholarships through a series of educational electronic postcards.
Seniors are also eligible for A Step in the Right Direction, the scholarship drawing. Students can sign up for CollegeSTEPS on its website (wellsfargo.com/per/student/planning/steps.jhtml) or call (800) 658-3567 for more information.
The Nevada Association for the Education of Young Children
will hold its sixth annual conference Friday and Saturday at UNLV. For more information, call (775) 850-8009 or (702) 270-2077.
