Letter: As history shows, China not exactly a friendly nation

I don't dispute letter writer Sid Sherman's right to dispute the president of the U.S.A. having spy planes; that is his given right because he lives in the U.S.A. I don't know how old he is, but to call China a friendly nation -- I suspect he is in his 30s or maybe 40s. Does he remember Korea -- all the men lost because of the support of China? Does he remember Vietnam and the losses we suffered because of China?
I don't want to get into a dispute about a friendly nation, but I think many veterans would not put China on the top of the list. What is a redneck? If he feels that the U.S.A. should be supported against all others, so be it. I could say a lot more about commerce between China and the U.S.A. but that would take a lot more time than I care to contribute to this subject.
