Test Site promoter resigns

Tim Carlson, the businessman who led efforts to bring private enterprise to the Nevada Test Site after nuclear weapons testing ended in 1992, resigned today as head of NTS Development Corp.
At 52, Carlson said he is ready to open a consulting firm to aid energy companies looking at the Test Site, 65 miles northwest of Las Vegas, for power plant sites.
