Erick Bentonico Bass

Erick Bentonico Bass, 28, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born Feb. 4, 1973, in Las Vegas. He was a hotel kitchen worker.

He is survived by his companion, Tammy Hannibal of Las Vegas; his mother, Carolyn Bass of North Las Vegas; his father, Albert Randolph of Shreveport, La.; two brothers, Devin Bass and Corey Jones, and one sister, Melissa Bass, all of Las Vegas; and his grandmothers, Ollie Bass of North Las Vegas and Mary Randolph of Shreveport, La.

Visitation is scheduled noon-8 p.m. Thursday in American Burial and Cremation Services, 310 Foremaster Lane. Services will be 11 a.m. Friday in Macedonia Baptist Church, 2600 Clayton St. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.

Hermina Bickley

Hermina Bickley, 96, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local care center. She was born Dec. 1, 1904, in Austria. A resident for 30 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by one daughter, Esther Bedotto of Las Vegas; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Services and burial will be private. Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd., is handling arrangements.

Joshua David Blaylock

Joshua David Blaylock, 23, of North Las Vegas died Sunday in North Las Vegas. He was born Feb. 14, 1978, in Phoenix. A resident for 21 years, he was a gift shop stocker and a Marine Corps veteran.

He is survived by his father, David Blaylock of North Las Vegas; his mother, Suzanne Kerekes, and two brothers, Jesse Williams and Jeremiah Williams, all of Las Vegas.

Olga Daniel

Olga Daniel, 78, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born March 11, 1923, in Providence, R.I.

She is survived by children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Roscoe Davis Jr.

Roscoe Davis Jr., 82, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born July 29, 1918, in Bailey, N.C. A resident for 16 years, he was an aircraft machinist for Boeing Aircraft, a World War II Army veteran and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

He is survived by one daughter, B.J. Moehrke of Barnum, Minn.; five sons, Don Davis of Louisville, Ky., Glen Davis of Augusta, Ga., Greg Davis of Westminster, Colo., Tony Davis of Grapevine, Texas, and Pat Davis of Superior, Wis.; one sister, Elle Mae Williams of Simms, N.C.; 15 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.

Services will be 6 p.m. today in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave.

Edward Wilfred Estrella

Edward Wilfred Estrella, 84, of Las Vegas died April 10 in Las Vegas. He was born Oct. 31, 1916, in Maua, Hawaii. He was a miner and a Navy veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Marjorie; two daughters, Penni Veal and Sharon Mendenhall, both of Las Vegas; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Diana P. Garcia

Diana P. Garcia, 39, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. A homemaker, she was born April 20, 1961, in San Diego.

She is survived by her husband, Steve; two daughters, Erica Solomon and Gabriela Garcia, and one son, Stevie Solomon Jr., all of Las Vegas; her father and stepmother, Art and Sharon Olvera of San Diego; four sisters, Cynthia Olvera, Mary Olvera, Vica Iuli and Star Iuli; and three brothers, Bobby Olvera, Dominic Olvera and Jack Olvera.

Services will be 6 p.m. today in Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd.

Evelyn F. Gardner

Evelyn F. Gardner, 43, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. She was born Sept. 29, 1957, in Winnsboro, La. A resident for one year, she was a housekeeper for the Flamingo Las Vegas and National Guard veteran.

She is survived by two daughters, QueenEthel R. O'Steen and Kenyetta G. O'Steen, and her parents, Jeff and Margie Lynch, all of Buffalo, N.Y.; three brothers, Stevie Washington of Las Vegas and Donald G. O'Steen and Larry Washington, both of Buffalo; five sisters, Frankie Washington of Michigan, Doris Washington of Las Vegas and Barbara O'Steen, Tiffany Lynch and Tara Lynch, all of Buffalo; and four grandchildren.

No local services are scheduled. Burial will be in Buffalo. American Burial and Cremation Services, 310 Foremaster Lane, is handling arrangements.

William Harcrow

William Harcrow, 38, of Pahrump died Sunday in California. He was born Oct. 6, 1962, in Oklahoma. A resident for three years, he was a mechanic at The Shop.

He is survived by one son, Billy Harcrow Jr. of California; his fiancee, Robin Baras, and his parents, William and Charline Harcrow, all of Pahrump; two brothers, Richard Harcrow of Washington state, and Tracy Harcrow of California; and two sisters, Darline Gutierrez of California and Deedee Smith of Pahrump.

Visitation is scheduled 4-7 p.m. Thursday in Pahrump Family Mortuary, 2240 E. Calvada Blvd. Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Friday in Chief Tecopa Cemetery.

Harold Eugene Holinsworth

Harold Eugene Holinsworth, 76, of Stillwater, Okla., died April 9 in Stillwater. He was born Sept. 30, 1924, in Newkirk, Okla. A former Las Vegas resident, he owned a tire business, was a butcher, a salesman and owned restaurants in Oklahoma. He was a former member of the Lions Club, Toastmasters, Road Knights, Odd Fellows, Moose Lodge and Elks, all in Stillwater.

He is survived by his wife, Betty; one son, H.E. Holinsworth of Humboldt, Kan.; three daughters, Yvonne Hornberger and Pam Roberson, both of Stillwater, and Daphne Hoffman of Las Vegas; 13 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, 14 step-grandchildren, 18 step-great-grandchildren and two step-great-great-grandchildren.

Colonial Chapel Funeral Home, Stillwater, is handling arrangements.

Paul DeLone Ihrie

Paul DeLone Ihrie, 87, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. He was born Aug. 7, 1913, in Maryland. A resident for six years, he was a managing director for a biscuit company, World War II Army veteran and a member of the Masons.

He is survived by his wife, Jean; one daughter, Linda Ackerman of Ohio; two brothers, Robert Ihrie of Las Vegas and Louis Ihrie of Baltimore; and one grandchild.

Nicheside services will be 10 a.m. Thursday in Memory Gardens. Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.

Lew J. 'JJ' Justice

Lew J. "JJ" Justice, 66, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born May 3, 1934, in California. A resident for 30 years, he was a mechanic and truck driver for a freight company.

He is survived by two daughters, Sue Ann Cornwell of Las Vegas and Lisa Boyko of Arizona; one son, James Justice of Las Vegas; and four grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to 3 p.m. services Friday in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Burial will be private.

Alvin King

Alvin King, 69, of Las Vegas died March 13 in Las Vegas. A resident for many years, he was born Dec. 18, 1931.

Carolina Isabella Lazos

Carolina Isabella Lazos, 72, of Las Vegas died April 11 in Las Vegas. She was born March 24, 1929, in Mexico. She was a homemaker.

She is survived by one daughter, Christina Anderson of Las Vegas; and one grandchild.

Robert S. Lockwood

Robert S. Lockwood, 78, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a Las Vegas. He was born Nov. 11, 1922, in Seattle. A resident for 11 years, he was a log rafter at his father's sawmill, a retired welder at the Bremerton Navy Shipyard and the Todd Shipyard in Seattle.

He is survived by one sister, Helen Bowles of Las Vegas.

Albert Mathews

Albert Mathews, 84, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born Nov. 12, 1916, in Bethel Park, Pa. A resident for 22 years, he was a mail carrier for the U.S. Postal Service and a World War II Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Stella; one son, Frank Mathews, and one daughter, Marilyn O' Connor, both of Las Vegas; one brother, Frank Mathews of Pennsylvania; and six grandchildren.

Services will be private. Nevada Funeral Service, 2983 Fremont St., handled arrangements.

K.T. Mays

K.T. Mays, 83, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. A resident for 22 years, she was born June 12, 1917, in Gallman, Miss.

She is survived by her husband, Owen R.; two sons, J.D. Allen Jr. and Robert O. Mays, both of Las Vegas; two daughters, Mary Jane Burns of Minnesota and Barbara Pohl of Las Vegas; 20 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Eleanor V. Nightingale

Eleanor V. Nightingale, 75, of Laughlin died Sunday in Laughlin. She was born Oct. 29, 1925, in Boston. A resident for 13 years, she was an accountant.

She is survived by two daughters, Angela Shafer and Marlaine McDonald, both of Laughlin; and two grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 3-8 p.m. today in Davis Funeral Home, 2127 W. Charleston Blvd. Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday in Holy Family Catholic Church, 4490 Mountain Vista St. Burial will be in Salt Lake City.

Joseph Clair Norton

Joseph Clair Norton, 74, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. He was born Aug. 6, 1926, in Central, Ariz. A resident for 37 years, he was a retired convention worker, farmer and cowhand and a member of the Teamsters Local 6315.

He is survived by his wife, Marilyn; five sons, Joseph Norton of Pocatello, Idaho, Jon Norton of Aurora, Colo., and Philip Norton, Steve Norton and Chris Norton, all of Las Vegas; five daughters, Alice Thurston of Mesa, Ariz., Susan Dart of Pasco, Wash., Michelle Coloma of Texas and Connie Summers and Pat Oakden, both of Las Vegas; two brothers, Art Norton of Nampa, Idaho, and Jack Norton of Kaiser, Ore.; 34 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 6-9 p.m. Thursday in Davis Funeral Home, 2127 W. Charleston Blvd. Services will be 9 a.m. Friday in LDS 6th Ward on West Charleston. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.

Richard E. Porter

Richard E. Porter, 86, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. He was born Dec. 25, 1914, in Kansas. A resident for 56 years, he was a retired graphic designer for a neon sign company, a veteran of the Royal Canadian Navy, a member of the original Press Club, original Hualapai Club and Executive Lions Club.

He is survived by his wife, June; one son, Rick Porter, and one daughter, Patti Bailey, both of Las Vegas; one grandchild and two great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday in Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd.

Anthony Prisco

Anthony Prisco, 50, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born Feb. 28, 1951, in the Bronx, N.Y. A resident for 20 years, he was an inventor, plumber and member of the Italian American Club.

He is survived by his wife, Matilda; one daughter, Angela Thompson, and one son, Joseph Prisco, both of Las Vegas; and three sisters, Louise Lizzi of Las Vegas and Janice Kelman and Virginia Prisco, both of New York City.

Visitation is scheduled noon-3 p.m. and 4-7 p.m. Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd. Services will be 10 a.m. Friday in Palm Chapel, Jones. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.

Bryant Reno

Bryant Reno, 53, of Henderson died Monday in Henderson. A lifelong resident, he was born May 29, 1947, in Las Vegas.

He is survived by his mother, Wilma Reno of Henderson; and four brothers, Garry Harper and Tommy Reno, both of Henderson, Gordon Reno of Provo, Utah, and Willie Reno of Citrus Heights, Calif.

Visitation is scheduled 5-7 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson. Additional visitation is scheduled one hour prior to 2 p.m. services Thursday in the LDS Cholla Street chapel.

Reese S. Robinson, 90, of Henderson died Monday in Henderson. He was born Oct. 29, 1910, in Tennessee. A resident for many years, he was a manager in government.

He is survived by his wife, La Von.

William A. Schnabel

William A. Schnabel, 84, of Henderson died Monday in Henderson. He was born Jan. 14, 1917, in Hackensack, N.J. A resident for two years, he was a retired paper mill machinist and a World War II Marine Corps veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Rose; three daughters, Georgianne Partridge of Goshen, N.Y., and Linda Schnabel and Lorraine Mourad, both of Henderson; one sister, Evelyn Emmetts of Barnegat, N.J.; one brother, Charles Schnabel of Shreveport, La.; and two grandchildren.

William Spencer

William Spencer, 77, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born March 29, 1924, in Dyer, Tenn. A resident for seven years, he was a World War II and Korean War Navy veteran.

He is survived by four daughters, Susan Bock of Illinois, Debra Spencer of Wisconsin, Gailmarie Spindler of Henderson and Jeri Waterloo; and two sons, Paul Spindler and Ralph Waterloo.

Herbert O. Swenberg, 84, of Boulder City died Monday in a local hospital. He was born Dec. 27, 1916, in Martins Ferry, Ohio. A resident for 18 years, he was a welding supply salesman and a World War II Army veteran.

He is survived by one son, Carl D. Swenberg of Henderson; and two grandchildren.

Ray Edward Torley, 96, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born Jan. 4, 1905, in Las Vegas. A resident for 50 years, he was a retail grocery store owner and a World War II Navy veteran.

Charlene Waterhouse

Charlene Waterhouse, 83, of Pahrump died Monday in Pahrump. She was born May 4, 1917, in Michigan. A resident for six years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by two daughters, Marla Wythe of Pahrump and Martha Jacobs of Lansing, Mich.; seven grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.

Timothy P. Wendt

Timothy P. Wendt, 44, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born March 18, 1957, in Springfield, Ill. A resident for 15 years, he was a gaming consultant.

He is survived by two brothers, David Wendt of Las Vegas and Rick Wendt of Northridge, Calif.
