Evelyn I. Cassady

Evelyn I. Cassady, 88, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospice. She was born Aug. 25, 1912, in Wisconsin. A resident for eight years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by one daughter, Sylvia Taylor of Las Vegas; one son, James Dwinnell of Alexandria, Va.; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

A memorial service date is pending. Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd., is handling arrangements.

The family suggests donations to the Nathan Adelson Hospice, 4141 S. Swenson St., Las Vegas, NV 89119.

Frank C. Farina

Frank C. Farina, 79, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. He was born March 14, 1922, in New York City. A resident for 19 years, he owned and operated Westgate TV in Las Vegas, was a World War II Army Air Corps veteran who served on the Asia-Pacific Rim and was a member of the American Bowling League.

He is survived by two sons, Michael Farina and F. Anthony Farina, both of Las Vegas; two daughters. Sister Marianne Farina, CSC of Notre Dame, Ind., and Rosanne Dunkin of Las Vegas; and six grandchildren.

A memorial Mass will be celebrated 4 p.m. Tuesday in St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 1811 Pueblo Vista Drive. Burial will be private.

The family suggests donations to Ministry with the Poor Development Office, Sisters of the Holy Cross, St. Marys, Notre Dame, IN 46556.

Lula Grace Gilbert

Lula Grace Gilbert, 67, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. She was born Feb. 7, 1934, in Willis, Mich. A resident for 20 years, she was a proof operator in the banking industry.

She is survived by one brother, Arthur Moore of Las Vegas.

Visitation is scheduled 1-5 p.m. Tuesday in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday in Bunkers Chapel. Burial will follow in Eden Vale Memorial Park.

Wendell L. Holmes

Wendell L. Holmes, 63, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local health care center. He was born April 18, 1937, in Texarkana, Texas. A resident for eight years, he was a retired supervisor in the aerospace industry, a deacon and Sunday School teacher at Second Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Julia; one daughter, Terri Holmes, and one son, Derwin L. Holmes, both of San Diego; his "Mom," Beatrice Holmes of Venice, Calif.; and three grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 9 a.m.-7 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd. Additional visitation is scheduled 30 minutes prior to an 11 a.m service Tuesday in the Second Baptist Church, 500 W. Madison Ave. Graveside services will follow at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday in Palm Memorial Park, Northwest.

Helen Susie Launstein

Helen Susie Launstein, 88, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born Nov. 28, 1912, in Webberville, Mich. A resident for 30 years, she obtained a degree from Michigan State University, had a private pilot's license and was a volunteer at the Clark County district attorney's office for 10 years.

She is survived by two sons, F. Lee Launstein of Bakersfield, Calif., and Rene A. Launstein of Aloha, Ore.; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave., handled private arrangements.

Gloria A. Lensman

Gloria A. Lensman, 68, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospice. She was born Oct. 18, 1932, in Ohio. A resident for 20 years, she was a homemaker and was retired.

She is survived by her husband, Roger; one daughter, Vickie Ream, and one son, John Ream, both of Las Vegas; one brother, Karl Spinden of Canton, Ohio; two sisters, Grace Underbrink of Banning, Calif., and Deloris Belt of Eugene, Ore.; and three grandchildren.

Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd., is handling arrangements.

Quittschreiber

Harold Quittschreiber, 62, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. He was born July 30, 1938, in Minnesota. A resident for 12 years, he was an automobile repair shop owner, a member of the Moose and Elks lodges.

He is survived by his wife, Cherin; two sons, Jeff and Steve; one daughter, LeAnne Adkins; two stepdaughters, Kelly Wise and Terry Lynn Carpenter; three brothers, Vernon, Donald and Richard; three sisters, Janet, Alice and Joyce; and 10 grandchildren.

Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.

Julius Stolz

Clarence Julius Stolz, 83, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. He was born Jan. 23, 1918, in Chicago. A resident for 18 years, he received a bachelor's degree in animal husbandry.

He is survived by his wife, Rosemary; one daughter, Linda Lee Gray of Modesto, Calif.; two brothers, Henry Stolz of Las Vegas and Walter Stolz of Austin, Texas; six grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 4-7 p.m. Tuesday in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. A reception will follow at J.C. Mobile Home Park, 5805 W. Harmon Ave. Burial will be in Paradise Memorial Gardens.

Bennie Weathersby

Bennie Weathersby, 70, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. He was born Feb. 25, 1931, in San Antonio. A resident for four years, he was a retired bus driver and a Korean War Air Force veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Willetta; five daughters, Lynda Howard of Saudi Arabia, Phyllis Williams of Missouri, Angie Weathersby and Debbie Weathersby, both of Las Vegas and Donna Rudd of Illinois; one son, Eric Weathersby of Colorado; one sister, Gwen Turner of California; one brother, Charles Jones of New York state; 11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd.
