Letter: Guinn’s Rx plan wastes money
Monday, April 16, 2001 | 9:57 a.m.
Here we go again. King Guinn wants his Senate Bill 239, on the senior Rx plan, to pass no matter how bad it is. Why is he ignoring Assembly Majority Leader Barbara Buckley? She has connected with her constituents and understands that we do not like His Lordship's plan. Why is he so insistent on using an insurance company? The packet sent to reply to inquiry on the plan was extremely expensive, too many sheets of paper, poorly written, and most of all ambiguous! What a waste of money!
What happened to "Government of the People"? This is not a sovereignty -- we are sick and tired of partisan politics. This is not your private bankroll -- it's tobacco penance for the people!
