Business down at Reno airport

RENO -- Passenger counts continued to drop in February at Reno-Tahoe International Airport, airport officials said.
Total passenger counts fell 15.2 percent below February 2000. Passenger traffic for the year is off 12.1 percent.
Officials attributed the decline to American Airlines' cut of 16 flights here last July 2.
Southwest Airlines carried almost half of all passengers in February, 47.1 percent, by far the most among airlines.
Airlines in February averaged flying 74.2 percent full, a good showing, said airport spokesman Adam Mayberry.
Cargo weight flattened in February, up only 0.3 percent, possibly a result of a softening U.S. economy, Mayberry said.
