A 48-year-old Las Vegas man pleaded guilty Thursday in connection with an accident last month that claimed the life of a 58-year-old woman.
Darwin Ellison will be sentenced to between 5 1/2 and 20 years in prison on May 24 in the death of Rosa Delegado.
According to authorities, Ellison stole a company truck, got drunk and struck Delegado as she was getting into her car near Fremont Street and Las Vegas Boulevard South on March 16.
Delegado was pinned against her car door. She was then run over by the rear tires of the 1979 International truck.
In exchange for pleading guilty to driving under the influence, causing death, prosecutors have agreed to dismiss grand theft auto and leaving the scene of an accident charges.
