Letter: Assemblyman going places we wouldn’t dare go

Regarding the March 30 Sun article, "Williams heats up Garcia attacks":
You print things almost every day that deserve letters from your readers. Most subjects get no response. I would guess that's because most of your readers are too busy working, too exhausted from work or just too preoccupied juggling the obligations of everyday life in our ever more politically correct, kinder and gentler, diversity-embracing, team-playing society.
Why would Assemblyman Wendell Williams think that it's OK for him to flaunt the rules? He has publicly said of Clark County School District Superintendent Carlos Garcia, "I'm going to bury him and send him back to Fresno." Their impasse over the Edison Schools resembles a turf war.
If any of us ordinary citizens (schoolchildren included) threatened to "bury" a neighbor, co-worker or official of any ilk, we'd be vilified, reprimanded and then counseled. Williams would be well-advised to get it under control. He should never lose his temper, never be impatient, never vent a strictly personal opinion and never display any intolerance. We can't, he can't.
As a former teacher at an elementary school, Williams has one other obligation: He needs to study comparatives and superlatives. He says some school bills are "dusty and will get more dusty." I think that's what makes me tenser than I've ever been: someone trying to lead me where he has never been.
