Wednesday, April 11, 2001 | 11:01 a.m.

A Camarillo, Calif., investment advisor who already owes as much as $47 million to creditors has been jailed and is awaiting extradition to Nevada. He's charged in Las Vegas with writing $230,000 in bad checks to Clark County casinos, the Los Angeles Times reported.

Donald D. Lukens, 50, was arrested Monday after an unrelated hearing in U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Santa Barbara. He and his wife filed for bankruptcy there last month, listing more than 500 creditors and debts of nearly $47 million, the Times said.

The Las Vegas casino bad checks allegedly were written in 1999, police said.
