Letter: Save money in next election

For the life of me I cannot understand why so much was made about nonvoting in this primary election!

It was so sectioned off, with certain people running from specified areas. I live in Ward 1. Unfortunately, we did not have any choice of a change in a council seat here. I watch the Las Vegas City Council meetings frequently and was constantly impressed with the three people who not too long ago gained seats there.

I wish I could have voted for the members of the council now seated in Wards 2, 5 and 6. But my ballot did not contain their names. As for the candidates for judge, I didn't even know them.

So much money was spent on this election. I can only feel that is why so much crying was done about the lack of voters. In the future when particular areas are sectioned, money should be saved on early voting and voting by mail.
