Monday, April 9, 2001 | 10:35 a.m.
Executives from Microsoft, Yahoo! and CareerJournal.com will speak at Kennedy Information's e-Recruiting & Staffing Conference West scheduled for May 3-4 at Mandalay Bay hotel-casino.
The speakers include Microsoft Internet recruiter Paul Spagenberg, Tanya Singer of Yahoo! and Tony Lee of CareerJournal.com.
The job recruiting conference is expected to draw 800 to 1,000 visitors and 80 exhibitors, a Kennedy spokesman said. The registration cost for visitors is $995 and for exhibitors $4,995. Information about registering for the conference is available at www.erecruiting2001.com.
This year's theme is "Beyond Job Posting," which will explore such new e-recruiting strategies as online candidate assessment techniques; as well as new tools and technologies.
Kennedy Information, a Fitzwilliam, N.H.-based company, is an events management, publishing and consulting firm for the job recruiting industry.
