BOYS VOLLEYBALL
Bishop Gorman def. Clark, 14-16, 14-16, 15-10, 15-7, 15-12: Matt Sears had 14 kills and Mike Ernst added seven blocks for the Gaels, while Vitaly Skripkin chipped in 12 kills and six blocks for the Chargers.
Palo Verde def. Mojave, 9-15, 9-15, 15-5, 15-6, 15-12: Thomas Steffen had 14 kills for the Panthers, while Mojave got six kills and six blocks from James Jerome.
Durango def. Western, 6-15, 17-15, 15-12, 15-7: The Blazers got 45 assists and eight blocks from Mason Duff, 15 kills and seven blocks from Brian Bounds and seven kills and eight blocks from Neal Abol-Hosn.
Green Valley def. Vo-Tech, 15-7, 15-3, 15-7: Eric Sheedy and Eric Mosier had 12 kills apiece and Chuck Kallick dished out 37 assists for the Gators.
BOYS SWIMMING
Basic 151, Bishop Gorman 116: Duane Gonzales captured the diving competition and Scott Yacono won the 100 back to lead the Wolves.
GIRLS SWIMMING
Bishop Gorman 169, Basic 133: Angelina Colavito (200 free, 100 back) and Kim Borsack (100 fly, 500 free) each won two events for the Gaels. Dyami Selch posted a diving win for the Wolves.
