Visitor wants to say thanks
Thursday, April 5, 2001 | 9:38 a.m.
I just had to write this letter to the newspaper because I know of no other way to say thank you to a very nice couple who helped my father one night. You see, we are not from Las Vegas. We are from Michigan, and we want to extend our deepest thanks to these people and all the other people who so unselfishly helped that night.
My father has a bad heart and was coming out of the Suncoast hotel-casino when he staggered out on to the road and fell to the ground. He probably looked like he was drunk that night, and you might think someone would be coming out of a casino. But when my mother explained his condition to the strangers they were most helpful.
The young man took off his jacket and placed it under my father's head to help make him comfortable. My family and I want to thank this wonderful young couple and everyone else who helped out in the process. Las Vegas should be very proud of their community. I know I am.
