Workshop to help protect savings
Nancy Nash will conduct the Senior Survival workshops 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Thursday at the Fiesta hotel-casino.
The workshop delves into the hidden programs that can save seniors in taxes and protect them and their families from the costs of catastrophic illnesses.
Admission is free. For more information, call 880-9088.
Organization plans membership social
The League of Women Voters will hold a membership social beginning with registration at 5:15 p.m. Thursday at the Whitney Library Concert Hall, 5175 E. Tropicana Ave.
The social is to inform potential new members about the league.

Education forum set at City of Hope
Information about prostate cancer surgery, screening for early lung cancer detection and the genetic risk for breast cancer will be available at the City of Hope Cancer Center community education forum 4 p.m. Friday at the Venetian, Casanova Meeting Room 605.
