The survivors of four people killed by a drunken driver in May have filed a lawsuit in District Court.
The lawsuit seeks damages in connection with the accident that killed Mary Lynn Sargent, 46, and her companion of 17 years, James Burton Hendren, 59.
Sargent's daughter, Michelle Jamieson, 22, who was eight months pregnant, died several hours after undergoing an emergency Caesarean section. The baby, Julius, died May 16 at University Medical Center.
Among the defendants is Michael Owen Pickett, who pleaded guilty to four felony counts and was sentenced to 16 to 40 years in prison.
