Luella Alexander
Luella Alexander, 73, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospice. She was born Feb. 23, 1927, in Buffalo, N.Y. A resident for 33 years, she was a retired owner of a lighting and specialties shop.
She is survived by one daughter, Debra Colwell, and one son, Philip Alexander Jr., both of Las Vegas; and four grandchildren.
Services will be 3 p.m. Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd. Graveside services will follow in Palm Memorial Park.
The family suggests donations to the Humane Society of Las Vegas Valley.
Margaret M. Baldwin
Margaret M. Baldwin, 81, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. She was born April 1, 1919, in Butler, Pa. A resident for 35 years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband, Ralph W.; one daughter, Peggy A. Gordon of Pahrump; one son, Edward Gilliland of Naperville, Ill.; two sisters, Anne Abbinanti of New Eagle, Pa., and Mildred R. Chermock of Maine; nine grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. Burial will follow in Paradise Memorial Gardens.
David James Bogert
David James Bogert, 50, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. He was born Dec. 29, 1949, in Ohio. A resident for 11 years, he was a bus driver and an Army veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Madelynn; four sons, David Bogert, Brent Bogert, Eddie Kacsanek and Jimmey Bogert; his father, Howard Bogert; his mother, Peggy Custer; one brother, Kevin Custer; one sister, Pat Groll; and five grandchildren.

Madelyn Mildred Bricker
Madelyn Mildred Bricker, 86, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. She was born March 9, 1914, in Toledo, Ohio. A resident for 45 years, she was a retired accountant for a mobile home sales office.
Burial will be in Toledo. Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.
Oatha Curtis Brown
Oatha Curtis Brown, 67, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. He was born April 17, 1933, in Virginia. A resident for 12 years, he was a supervisor at the Department of Water and Power and an Army veteran.
He is survived by one son, Phillip Henderson-Brown; three daughters, Erhonda Brown, Andrea Brown and Gedra Brown; three brothers, Joel Brown, Nuri Brown and Roger Brown; three sisters, Brenda Rucker, Jennifer Brown and Eunice Brown; and six grandchildren.

Susan M. Budnick, 60, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. A homemaker, she was born June 16, 1940, in Massachusetts.
She is survived by her husband, Thomas; and one daughter, Donna Davis.

Larry Albert Close, 50, of Las Vegas died Sept. 3 in Las Vegas. He was born Aug. 8, 1950, in Missouri. A resident for 22 years, he was a stagehand.
He is survived by three sons, Brenden Close of Nevada and Trevis Close and Jeremiah Close, both of California; and one daughter, Jana Close of Nevada.

Susan Lynn Clouse, 47, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born April 30, 1953, in Winterhaven, Fla. A resident for 10 years, she was an accounting clerk.
She is survived by two sons, Jason Clouse of Henderson and Jeremy Clouse of North Las Vegas; one daughter, Nikki Clouse of Las Vegas; two sisters, Jamie Capps of Sherman Oaks, Calif., and Margie Dokka of Baton Rouge, La.

Dolly Z. Cuchine
Dolly Z. Cuchine, 86, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospice. A homemaker, she was born Jan. 1, 1914, in Ashton, Neb.
She is survived by friends, Dr. Harland and Grace Jones of Las Vegas.

Joaquin Domenech, 71, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. He was born April 3, 1929, in Tolouse, France. A resident for 37 years, he had been a chef at the Dunes, Tropicana, Aladdin, Caesars Palace and Las Vegas Hilton.
He is survived by his wife, Celia; five sons, Salvador, Joaquin and Gabriel, all of Las Vegas, Ricardo of Boulder, Colo., and Rafael of San Diego; two daughters, Maria Kelly of San Diego and Celia White of Las Vegas; two brothers, Jose of Mexico City and Rafael of Phoenix; two sisters, Carman Domenech of Mexico City and Elena Garcia of Los Angeles; 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Jean Eckley
Jean Eckley, 81, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. She was born April 23, 1919, in Detroit. A resident for 41 years, she was a retired registered nurse, a volunteer nurse for area prisons and did volunteer work for Meals on Wheels.
She is survived by one daughter, Jean Eckley of Las Vegas; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to 1 p.m. services Friday in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson. Burial will be in Palm Memorial Park, Henderson.
Richard S. Godfrey
Richard S. Godfrey, 63, of Las Vegas died Sept. 15 in Las Vegas. He was born Sept. 13, 1937, in St. Paul, Minn. A resident for 30 years, he was a casino floorman.
He is survived by one son, Steven Godfrey, and his companion, Margie Cray, both of Las Vegas; and one grandchild.

Hazel Hagen, 91, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. She was born Nov. 25, 1908, in Upham, N.D. A resident for 15 years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by one son, Dennis Hagen of Las Vegas; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be 3:30 p.m. Sunday in Christ Lutheran Church, 111 N. Torrey Pines Drive. Nevada Funeral Service-Nevada Cremation or Burial Society, 2983 Fremont St., is handling arrangements.

Gwendolyn Ann Smith Harper, 65, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. She was born Jan. 6, 1935, in Brooklyn, N.Y. A resident for five years, she was retired.
She is survived by two sons, Jimmy Harper of Brentwood, N.Y., and Kevin Lee Harper of Dallas; one daughter, Veronica Tice of Las Vegas; and five grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 1-5 p.m. Friday in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday in Bunkers Chapel. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.

Russell Hocks, 81, of Las Vegas died Aug. 21 in Las Vegas. He was born Sept. 8, 1918. A resident for 13 years, he was a member of the Golden Boys.
Graveside services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.
Robert Paul Johnson
Robert Paul Johnson, 70, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born Oct. 28, 1929, in Las Vegas. A lifelong resident, he was a property investor and a Korean War Army veteran.
He is survived by one sister, Joylin Vandenberg of Las Vegas.
A memorial service will be 10 a.m. Saturday in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.

She is survived by her husband, Spencer M.; three sons, Spencer M. Judd Jr., Joshua D. Judd and Jacob D. Judd, and one daughter, Candace A. Judd, all of Las Vegas; her parents, Joanne A. and Dean H. Ahlmer of Ogden, Utah; two sisters, Diane A. Richardson of South Ogden, Utah, and Teresa A. Gillins of North Ogden, Utah; one brother, Steven D. Ahlmer of Sandy, Utah; and her grandmother, Dorothy L. Hunsaker of Honeyville, Utah.

She is survived by three daughters, Teri Velasquez of Fort Lewis, Wash., Debra Dudley of Boise, Idaho, Kim Isom of Sparks; three sons, Tony Kanaley of Boise and Dan Kanaley and Steve Kanaley, both of Las Vegas; one brother, Dale MacDonald of Wayne, Mich.; one sister, Shirley Trembath of Novi, Mich.; and six grandchildren.

She is survived by one daughter, Jeri Winter, and three sons, Edward Kovacs, Robert Kovacs and Tim Kovacs, all of Las Vegas; and eight grandchildren.
Services will be 6 p.m. Friday in Davis Funeral Home, 2127 W. Charleston Blvd. A private burial will follow.

Amos Newsom, 79, of Henderson died Tuesday in Henderson. He was born Dec. 31, 1920, in Texas. A resident for 40 years, he was a retired forklift operator and a member of Teamsters Local 631.
He is survived by one daughter, Judy Loveland of Ogden, Utah; one son, Larry Newsom of Las Vegas; two sisters, Grace Clanton and Eva Neel, and two brothers, Mattie Newsom and Virgil Newsom, all of Artesia, N.M.; 11 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
