Volunteers sought to help stage Shakespeare in Park
Wednesday, Sept. 27, 2000 | 10:04 a.m.
The annual Nevada Shakespeare in the Park will run Oct. 6-8 at Foxridge Park in Henderson.
The production will feature professsional acting troupe La Petite Musicale of Los Angeles in three performances of "Antony and Cleopatra."
Organizing the performances is the Arts Council of Henderson. The group is currently seeking volunteers and donations because "as Shakespeare in the Park grows annually so does our need for volunteers," Judi Steele, president of the arts council, said.
Volunteers are needed for a variety of responsibilities over the three-day event.
Performances are free, but individuals who donate $200 or more will receive reserved tickets and the option to set up blankets for themselves and three guests in the roped-off area for donors in front of the stage.
