Quorum Health Group Inc. of Brentwood, Tenn., is considering acquisition bids of $14 to $17 a share from Triad Hospitals Inc. and Universal Health Services Inc., Modern Healthcare reported.
In Las Vegas, Quorum's Desert Springs Hospital is in a joint venture with Pennsylvania-based Universal called the Valley Health System. The system also includes Valley and Summerlin hospitals.
In August, Quorum said it hired Goldman, Sachs & Co. to explore a possible sale, merger or recapitalization.
