Linda Rae Arnoldsen

Linda Rae Arnoldsen, 52, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. She was born Dec. 2, 1947, in Utah. A resident for 50 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by two sons, Bill Williams and Henry Williams, both of California; two daughters, Irene Meeks and Kris Syme, both of Nevada; and four grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 3 p.m. Tuesday in Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson.

Harry E. 'Tad' Macia

Harry E. "Tad" Macia, 76, of Las Vegas died Thursday in a local hospice. He was born April 2, 1924, in Tombstone, Ariz. A resident for 16 years, he was a retired vice-president of insurance sales and a World War II Army Air Corps veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Jane; one son, James Macia of Las Vegas; one daughter, Ivy Macia-Stevens of Santa Barbara, Calif.; one sister, Betty Newell of Prescott, Ariz.; and two grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 4 p.m. Friday in First Church of Religious Science, 1420 E. Harmon Ave. Burial will be in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

Donovan Monahan

Donovan Monahan, 2 months, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. He was born July 18, 2000 in Princeton, Minn.

He is survived by his parents, John and Margaret Monahan, and one brother, Christapher Monahan, all of Las Vegas; his grandparents, Glenn and Debbie Carnahan of Las Vegas, Richard and Marty Monahan of San Diego and Theresa and Charles Walker of Oak River, Minn.; and his great-grandparents, Shirley Carnahan of Stockton, Calif., Rita Pasenelli of San Diego, Bud and Joanne Monahan of Fresno, Calif., and Corrine and Wally Fletcher of Ham Lake, Minn.

Services were scheduled at noon today in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Burial followed in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.

Roselyn Moresco

Roselyn Moresco, 59, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. A resident for 21 years, she was born Dec. 16, 1940, in Mississippi.

She is survived by one daughter, Susan Macher of Las Vegas; and one grandchild.

Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to 2 p.m. services Thursday in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. Burial will follow in Paradise Memorial Gardens.

Max Paez

Max Paez, 70, of Henderson died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born Aug. 3, 1930, in Fort Morgan, Colo. A resident for 48 years, he was a retired plumber, an Army veteran, a member of the G.I. Forum and Plumbers and Pipefitters Local 525.

He is survived by his wife, Mercy; three sons, Phillip Paez of Lancaster, Calif., and Max Paez Jr. and David Paez, both of Henderson; two brothers, Arturo Paez and Johnny Paez, both of Henderson; and nine grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 2-7 p.m. Tuesday in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson. Services will be 3 p.m. Wednesday in Palm Chapel, Henderson.

Betty Rosoff

Betty Rosoff, 90, of Henderson died Saturday in a local hospital. She was born June 1, 1910, in Detroit. A resident for 47 years, she was a retired motel owner-operator.

She is survived by one daughter, Elayne Rosoff of Santa Monica, Calif.; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Services will be 3 p.m. Monday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Graveside services will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.

The family suggests donations to Hadassah, 4972 S. Maryland Parkway, Las Vegas, NV 89119.

Christine Marie Schifferns

Christine Marie Schifferns, 56, of Henderson died Friday in Henderson. She was born April 9, 1944 in Binghamton, N.Y. A resident for 23 years, she was a management information systems technician.

She is survived by her husband, Robert; two daughters, Sandy Terrin and Deanna Tillery, and one son, David Schifferns, all of Las Vegas; her mother, Ursula Hankey of Sparks; three sisters, Lois Hankey of Chicago, Kathy Fields of San Diego and Janise King of Reno; and three grandchildren.

Services will be private. Burial will be in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

David L. Schillinger

David L. Schillinger, 52, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. A resident for more than one year, he was born June 11, 1948, in New York.

No local services are scheduled. Burial will be in Calverton, N.Y. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

Thomas J. Was

Thomas J. Was, 64, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospice. He was born May 22, 1936, in Detroit. A resident for 13 years, he retired from Ford Motor Co. after 33 years and was an Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara; one daughter, Rene Was of Las Vegas; two sons, Michael Was of Las Vegas and John Was of Melvindale, Mich.; and three grandchildren.

A memorial service will be noon Thursday in the Nathan Adelson Hospice, 4141 S. Swenson St., Las Vegas. Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd., is handling arrangements.
