Hopkins title fight Dec. 1 at Rio

The Rio hotel-casino will host a middleweight title fight Dec. 1, with longtime International Boxing Federation champion Bernard Hopkins facing mandatory challenger Antwun Echols. That fight card will precede by one day the Felix Trinidad vs. Fernando Vargas junior middleweight title fight at Mandalay Bay. Hopkins is 37-2-1 and has been the IBF champion since 1994. Echols is 24-3-1. Tickets for the card have yet to go on sale.
