Reno man charged with lewdness

Richard McGarva, 46, is accused of inappropriately touching and photographing the girls, ages 9 to 13, police said.

The parents of three of the girls said McGarva lived in a trailer next to their house and was treated like one of the family.

The mother said she called police after one of the girls told her he allegedly had taken pictures of her in lingerie.

Washoe County Sheriff Dennis Balaam said authorities issued a search warrant and found photographs that corroborate the girls' story.

McGarva was booked into the Washoe County jail Wednesday on one count of lewdness with a minor, three counts of open and gross lewdness and five counts of annoying and molesting a minor.
