Thursday, Sept. 21, 2000 | 11:43 a.m.
Sen. Barbara Boxer, D-Calif., is expected to join Democratic Senate candidate Ed Bernstein at a women's rally at 11 a.m. Saturday at UNLV.
The rally will be in Room 202 of the Moyer Student Union.
Bernstein, a Las Vegas attorney, is competing this fall with Republican former Rep. John Ensign of Las Vegas for the seat being vacated by Sen. Richard Bryan, D-Nev.
Registering voters: Nevada Power is partnering with the Clark County Election Department to help register the area's Hispanic population to vote in the Nov. 7 election.
Nevada Power volunteers, some of whom speak Spanish, will be at the Super Mercado del Pueblo, 1000 N. Rancho Drive, from 8 a.m. until noon on Saturday for a registration drive.
