Possible shooting in Sparks confirmed
Wednesday, Sept. 20, 2000 | 4:36 a.m.
Investigators tracked down Ralph Moreno, 35, Tuesday evening in his Sparks home, several hours after the gunshot-punctuated dispute.
Cheryl Scardina, 42, who described herself as his girlfriend, told police she fired her handgun at Moreno.
Police said Moreno was treated for a gunshot wound after his arrest, then released to police custody.
Scardina said she shot at Moreno in order to protect herself and a woman friend. Jo Anne Lagrace, 42, said Moreno earlier beat her.
Moreno was booked on one charge of domestic battery and jailed in lieu of $5,135 bail.
