Story: The lifting of Las Vegas' racial barrier passed its first test yesterday with flying colors as officials of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People reported that Negroes had been accepted very well in various downtown and Strip establishments they patronized.
"I think the people of Nevada have accepted the idea of integration 100 percent," said Dr. James B. McMillan, local president of the NAACP.

Story: The sale of the Flaming Hotel to Florida interests for nearly $11 million was approved unanimously yesterday by the state Gaming Control Board and is ready for weighing by the Nevada Gaming Commission.

Nov. 29: Millionth Air Passenger Gets Gala Welcome
Story: The one-millionth person to book air passage to Las Vegas in 1960 arrived at McCarran Field yesterday afternoon, marking a new record in air travel to Southern Nevada.
The millionth passenger turned out to be Mrs. William P. McCann, a secretary from Detroit, Mich. She and her husband had been visiting a sister in Phoenix and flew here for a three-day stay.
