Casino Journal Publishing Group announced the signing of a $1 million, two-year subscription contract the company says will significantly boost circulation of its magazines.
Under the agreement, Las Vegas-based PlaySys.com will purchase $1 million in subscriptions over a two-year period, with subscription revenues being recorded monthly. The magazines will then be provided to customers who subscribe to PlaySys.com's "Players Club." Casino Journal will supply PlaySys.com with content for its Internet news site, as well as marketing and advertising support.
Casino Journal said the agreement will boost circulation of its magazines Casino Player and Strictly Slots, and help expose the company's publications to new groups of gambling consumers.
PlaySys.com, founded in May, is being designed as an informational website catering to the gaming industry. Its chief executive is Larry Woolf, former chairman and chief executive of the MGM Grand hotel-casino. The site is set to launch in October.
