Soccer: UNLV women down BG

The UNLV women's soccer team edged Bowling Green 2-1 Monday, improving to 4-2 on the season under first-year head coach Dan Abdalla. Cosette Joffs and Cristyn Enea scored for the Rebels, who survived a physical first half that featured 17 total penalties and a yellow card issued to Bowling Green. A total of 37 fouls were committed in the game. Kelly Oshay assisted on Joffs' goal, and Anita Pedford earned the assist on Enea's goal.
UNLV hits the road for two games this weekend at Boise State and Idaho State. The team returns home Sept. 23 against San Francisco.
